Returning Player; Help!

Posting this here because I'm hoping for dire help (,^-^,) Hello all! I am a returning player, and I have NO idea where to begin. There are so many new things I'm learning over time I am SO LOST. I stopped playing daily after Inazuma, and stopped entirely after Sumeru just to pull Nahida. I'm returning now that I have proper equipment to play Genshin on.

Anyway, I need help with teams! I have no idea which characters to focus on building! I plan on getting Columbina, regardless of if she's good with my characters or not. I just really like her! BUT I obviously need to build characters for late game content considering I have no new characters (other than Chevreuse I pulled on a whim.) Who aged the best, and who should I make into teams? Thanks ahead of time and happy new year!!!

Venti Faruzan Bennett Fischl is very good with the new hexerei buffs (you need to unlock them by doing their respective quests) and can clear current Abyss F12 topside and 2nd boss in SO Fearless

Columbina is unique in that she can convert your team into a lunar-reaction team even if you don't run moonwheel characters, and she also pairs very well with Ineffa/Lauma. This means that her team options are vast. For example, you can run Yoimiya Xingqiu Columbina Ineffa and it will be more than endgame viable.

your faruzan is c0 (abysmal dogshit instead of her you can go xiangling) the better alternative is you forget venti alltogether, razor c6 with hex buffs fischl bennet c6 and chev is close to 100k team dps go with that then for a second team go nahida xing raiden (raiden on em) and either a second hydro of yaoyao

Faruzan C0 is still viable and lets Venti clear that stage, much better than a C2 Xiangling would. There is no reason to level Razor from scratch for that purpose alone, although they can still do it if they want.
