I wouldn't mind; if that nation has a soundtrack and story quality as good as Nod-Krai's, then I'd gladly accept it.

Krod Nai, a land where, due to "an unknown power" for "a certain reason" due to the actions of "a certain someone" operate entirely isolated from the outside world and you never saw anyone from there by total coincidence and the place hasn't been talked about because it's, like, super weird and this is all super important to look into because your sibling left their bike there a billion years ago so obviously you gotta stop walking the five fucking steps up to the last nation for this detour because there might be a package of trail mix in the fanny pack on the handlebars.

This is filled with so much spite, I love it

🤣 I like NK designs both characters and environment but that's about it. Feels like a cop out for the writers who had no good ideas. (Oh yeah yeah no yeah yeah, the Doctor totally gave a shit about the moon while he was slamming abyss crystals into children's arms. Totally.)

I mean knowing HoYo's schedule, Nod Krai has been in the works since at least 2022. So I don't see where the cop out is. They decided that there wasn't enough story for the story so they added more. It's the opposite of filler. All of the concepts that we have in Nod-Krai would have happened sooner or later in game.
Kuuvahki is probably just a mixture of Phlogiston and Primordial Seawater, therefore making it the pure form of elemental energy. It's not some "mysterious new energy". And the moons have been in the game since 1.0.
The spaceship was meant to be part of the story since the beginning. Dain just called it a meteorite, since he wouldn't have a concept of spaceship.
We rarely know much about the nations before their release. And Nod Krai is just part of Snezhnaya after all. It's not a detour, it's just a Snezhnaya prologue. And there's no way we would just be allowed into Snezhnaya with the current state of affairs.

>Dain just called it a meteorite, since he wouldn't have a concept of spaceship.
Dain was the Paimon equivalent for the other Sibling. They traveled together and were extremely close.
Now, if Paimon, who is as dumb as a bag of rocks (particularly dumb rocks, at that), can understand what a Space Ship is, then Dain would 100% understand it.
There is simply no way he would have called it a Meteorite or have been somehow confused by it.
Also, where the hell were the Twins going in the opening cutscene? If they need a Space Ship, why were they trying to fly off of Teyvat with just their wings?
This was absolutely a Retcon. You can argue for it being a good one or a bad one, or having it based on early concept ideas that weren't included in the final product, but saying it's *not* a Retcon is just silly.
