2nd slot enjoyers are too rare

I for some reason have main dps in 3rd slot

Used to always have my shielder in 1st spot for insta shield and for some reason that stuck


Hard to switch and now wanting Mavuika in 1st for spine stacks is hard to train my brain around

dps first slop, healer last then whoever the others.

Ignore the actual strength of the teams, I genuinely have no idea what to use for this abyss and i have no nod krai units and skirkoffier

Shield/Chev/Furina/Chiori 1st, DPS/driver 2nd slot, buffer/sub-dps 3rd slot, healer last

Furina jumps from 1 to 3 if I use Citlali. Chev and Chiori is exclusively at 1.

Main DPS, healer/ or buffer if they have thrilling tales, primary buffer, shielder or long duration buffer like Furina.

i put the onfield unit on 4 slot,


 then i go with


 1st slot characters with fast skill 


2nd characters which skill has long cooldown or long onfield element reaction (example furina),


3rd slot Citlali.

- Dps first slot
- shielder/sustain (if it’s baizhu or koko) in second slot and other sustains like cookie in third slot
- buffer/debuffer/sub dps in third and fourth, which depends on height. for example, xilonen is almost always fourth slot (but with exceptions, benny is /always/ fourth slot)

I started genshin when itto was released and I had serpent spine. I learned that the passive needs to stack before starting the abyss for max dmg. Since then, all my main damage dealer is on the first slot.

I can understand, i got an habit of putting certain roles in certain slots, not just DPS first or some element/rarity order thing and it just feel natural at that point :

For example first slot is always a buffer/enabler like Aino/Benny/Iansan, you name them..

Second slot is pretty much my flex slot (Healer/Extra Enabler or DPS), depending on what the team needs, in the overworld it's a mobility char like Yelan/Varesa.

Third slot is usually the On-Fielder DPS (Rarely but sometimes a quick swap secondary DPS like Tighnari/Sethos).

Fourth slot is the "combo" slot for the second supp/buffer/enabler, like Sucrose/Chevreuse, might also be my prefered Anemo/Geo or second Dendro slot.

Comrade, that's how I often configure my teams.

First slot, I reserved for Kazoo or a sub dps, Second slots is dps, third slot is shielder, healer is on the fourth.

I do it similar with the triangle support but it’s ordered by element example Arle-Benny-Citlali-Xilo
Is ordered in that way cause Bennett and Arle have the same element, Citali enables Arle and Xilo boosts too
But I have it different for Nefer
For her it’s: Nefer-Lauma ( same element )-Aino ( enables Bloom for Nefer )-Nahida ( boost a bit too )

Now I see that i have a priority: Enabler>Booster>Same element

2nd slot interferes with the finger that has to handle back and forth already

in any case with my years of playing GI I'm configuring parties now strictly in the rotation order

DPS - Sub-DPS - Buffer - Healer

for me it's always - primary support/"team captain", shielder, healer, DPS

Unless it's an Arlecchino team, in which case she always goes first, so she can place her mark and have it be ready to harvest by the top of the next rotation.

I always make it how the rotation goes.

I run Neuvillette, Kazuha, Fischl and then Zhongli.

My DPS is always in the last slot... first slot is sustain. 2nd + 3rd slot is supports/sub dps. Just wound up that way for me early game and I'm too used to change it

I just do the order of my rotation so my DPS falls usually in slot 4.
