Why Does Genshin Randomly Give My Controller Stick Drift?
I've been playing Genshin for a while now. Not so recently (a few months ago) I got a new PlayStation 5 controller, and almost immediately, I was having stick drift issues. These issues are not persistent, and feel more like a bug in the game rather than an issue with my controller. No other games have stick drift problems, just Genshin on random.
Today, I was having problems when I logged in. I closed the game, reopened it, kept doing that, and it eventually took me turning on a different controller, then swapping back to the original one to get it fixed. I've seen a lot of people say it's the controller, but it just does not feel the case with this situation. If it was stick drift on my controller, why does it only happen randomly, and turn off when I swap between controllers in quick succession (just to change teams before swapping back with no problems).

I'll give you an analogy you might better understand. If you're been smoking all your life and one day in your 50s or 60s after having a smoke one morning, you started to feel the symptoms of oncoming lung cancer.. did that one cigarette you had that morning cause lung cancer while every other cig you've had caused no harm? Or was it a gradual process where every cig you smoked all your life contributed a small amount toward it?
That's how your stick drift progressed.
