artifact load out when? skip dialogue (that you already read) when? Delete past quest for PC when? Resin reserve when.....
\*genshin top level : haha very funny, No.
RevolutionaryFall1022026-01-02 08:15
>artifact load out when?
Not really useful to a lot of the playerbase. Most of them just stick to one artifact set the entirety of them game
ChasingPesmerga2026-01-02 08:23
I thought that too. But as I read more requests about it, it turns out that these players want artifact loadouts because they want to use 1 set across multiple characters.
Like they want that one perfect Noblesse Oblige set used and easily switched by all their supports.
Standard_Map_76182026-01-02 08:46
Especially for things like Imaginarium Theater where you literally can’t use most characters, so you need to re-equip
nanoSpawn2026-01-02 08:53
IT is where people use *all* of their characters. Many can't afford to have extra ones sitting in the bench.
SimonSays76762026-01-02 08:58
You literally cannot use all of your characters in IT. Not in one season at least and possibly not even in two.
nanoSpawn2026-01-02 08:59
No, but you need to load a roster. I barely managed to use all of my characters to get 22 playable ones and now the jump to 12 made me miss buffs.
tfs54542026-01-02 13:00
I think they mean across elements, like if pyro isn't on the menu, swapping Bennetts artifacts to a different support
nanoSpawn2026-01-02 13:05
Oh, true dat. Didn't cross my mind.
aescepthicc2026-01-02 13:31
IT has 3 elements limit, the game has 7 elements. There inevitably will be characters who can't participate. Those characters can share their weapons and artis, even when it's not BIS for other characters, especially if those weapons 5* and high CV artis
nanoSpawn2026-01-02 13:40
Yeah, other user reminded me that, I literally forgot we only can access three elements, effectively leaving more than half of our roster outside.
Anyway, IT or not IT, I am completely down for Loadouts, it's a feature I don't understand why it ain't there.
yraco2026-01-02 08:25
God I wish I rolled enough good artifacts to have multiple sets for a single character to be able to worry which one is best for a specific situation... or just one good set each first.
TeaTimeSubcommittee2026-01-02 09:02
I am in that odd skill level where the quick equip is actually useful to me, the problem with it is actually understanding how artifacts work so you can get that thing to assemble a good kit.
I know I could get insanely better builds if I just sat down and more familiar with the effects and stats but right now at AR 56 I have very little to complain about the system itself.
SDVX_Rasis2026-01-02 10:03
Personally I stick to one artifact set because I don't want to swap and reswap.
in-my_opinion3142026-01-02 09:43
Resin reserve is a big no.
Artifact loadout will be a bit controversial considering people make character share, but if they *did* find a way to go around that, it'd be a nice addition.
Kr4ckle2026-01-02 15:47
Why "big no" for a resin reserve...?
brliron2026-01-02 17:49
It's part of the balance that keeps players addicted to the daily login. It's not something that a random dev would add on a whim, it's something that has to come from the decision makers.
rW0HgFyxoJhYka2026-01-02 10:35
#they added artifact loadouts in 5.7, its buried in the menus
MagnusBaechus2026-01-02 12:15
it's finicky and not exactly what people wanted so it doesn't count, according to those people
I for one, make great use of it

Timey162026-01-02 11:28
In the end, as a software dev, I can say this: you always have a ton of pet peeves with the software you are working on... but those peeves are sadly usually also low priority compared to just about anything else.
So whatever task fixing these issues are constantly gets kicked down the ladder because there's always something more urgent or important to work on. At best you can hope that fixing these things are training exercises for new hires to make them familiar with the software... however if a pet peeve is both low priority while also requiring a lot of knowledge of the code to work on, then there is little hope for it to be fixed. Because by the point you have the required skills to do it... you will be made to work on more important stuff.
I.e. the problem of artifact loadouts is that in terms of design it has a TON of edge cases such as "what when two characters share the same artifacts within a loadout? How do your prioritize?" Additionally most players make one build and then run with that since most characters are made with that one build in mind, so that makes that feature very low priority too.
Admirable_Register892026-01-02 11:46
As a computer student taking a course in game development as one of my project classes I can say that no matter how you explain they will never hear sense to reason. They are more worries about spreading an agenda. If not basic logic of things like knowing genshin changing or updating engines would be more problems than benefits
jotenha12026-01-02 13:30
You don't even have to be a computer sciences student, I feel like the same thing happens in most work environments. People still refuse to ignore it.

LokianEule2026-01-03 00:30
I think loadouts would be great for both kinds of players. Optimized players have 5 builds for one character. Casual players have one build for 5 characters. They both need to move stuff around a lot.
Also stygian onslaught now means ppl often have to have an alt build with more energy recharge.
And you only want one person holding the scrolls set in any team. 3 natlan supports in one team? Whos holding scrolls this time?
Alex24222026-01-03 01:34
>I.e. the problem of artifact loadouts is that in terms of design it has a TON of edge cases such as "what when two characters share the same artifacts within a loadout? How do your prioritize?"
Well, good thing they already solved all those edge cases in their older game, that is Honkai Impact 3rd, which has loadouts. Just do the exact same thing here. Simple as that.
5yk05152026-01-02 12:11
Honestly, either I don't understand what a loadout actually or, but the fast equip option basically does what you want. You can basically create 2-3 sets for a character and switch easily between them.
iceman787722026-01-02 14:44
> (that you already read)
I like that we always have to add this caveat so people don't get pissed off at the mere thought of skipping anything in this game
MannerlyPoseidon2026-01-02 15:34
You have to remember that, at the of the day, Genshin is still a gacha game.
A dev may want something, but he is not the one that decides what goes into the game.
Particular_Web32152026-01-02 08:16
that one dev worrying over his primogem stash (the same one in the picture above) is so real
Meme_steveyt2026-01-02 09:47
So why the hell is there no 'skip cutscene' button, yet?
LordTuckRodd2026-01-02 10:31
Probably because they don’t want to skip on their own work coming to fruition?
rW0HgFyxoJhYka2026-01-02 10:37
Same reason why Kojima doesnt have a skip button for his games
phrolovas_violin2026-01-02 12:12
>Some may not believe this but the devs also play the game they work on and have the same wants/desires as us players
Do they really though? I work in IT specifically as a senior QA and none of the people I work with actually used our services outside work.
In fact I actively avoid having to deal with similar tech, all my side projects and development activities are in different tech domains.
Although game devs probably like their work more than the average backend developer so maybe they play different games, like imagine the guy who coded a character then playing them and noticing something that they missed or had to compromise so now it bugs them all the time.

can someone explain this to me 🥹 is it like pyro traveler with the ring? do ppl not want that anymore?
Lemunite2026-01-02 07:40
Too many stacking rings, the ring need to not clash/ruin other rings. And rings are sometime made for combat reason so the animators/art designer dont like them?
Whilyam2026-01-02 10:26
I do wonder sometimes if Hoyo has a master UI overlay that shows what areas they can still add stuff to. Because I've never run into an example where a UI element has obscured another where it matters. Like every character has some kind of visual for their kit but then also there's visuals for weapon passives like Ayato's and so forth
Yuriaaa2026-01-02 13:37
Probably tbh. If I were to guess they might just have specific "no-go" zones for animations/passives/etc, seems easier to manage.
Whilyam2026-01-02 13:43
Probably just different master overlays for each weapon type. All character UI needs to be there in case you run a weird team. But you never have ui for anytime other than the main weapon iirc
speedyBoi962402026-01-02 07:43
The ones that go behind a character like wanderer, raiden, mavuika, and the soon to be zibai
Zealousideal_Use_9662026-01-02 07:49
It's about people complaining about 'rings' appearing at the characters' backs whenever they use a skill or burst, like raiden, wandered, etc. Personally I think it's to call them out on it, it looks like lazy design when do they do it every now and then
Ezmankong2026-01-02 08:52
Remember when Raiden was first released and the ring brightness was 100? The fix came out fast but man was the flashing annoying in the meantime..
DespairAt10n2026-01-02 09:03
I legit changed my mind about pulling her because the ring was too bright (annoying for me) and then they nerfed it after her banner left XD
The emblem set I farmed for her went to Xiangling ;P
rW0HgFyxoJhYka2026-01-02 10:40
I liked thej bright ring
Telesto442026-01-02 11:14
I thought people actually liked stacking the effects :c
fat_mothra2026-01-02 11:19
If you use characters like Raiden, Wanderer and Raiden together you end up with a bunch of rings stacked on your back
Prisma_Lane2026-01-02 07:36
I mean....isn't that obvious? They collect data for a reason. Just because there was some drama and they stopped doing Teyvat Times, doesn't mean they stopped collecting data in the first place.
The problem was never that they didn't know, it's that they don't act on it. It's why people always say that "Genshin doesn't like money".
TheShadowAisles2026-01-02 07:48
Thank you for your sincere feedback!

I assumed it was just something to do with actually implementing it, maybe it's hard or something
AMTrippingBalls2026-01-02 15:08
It's mostly that the effect stays on when you switch character, and that many other characters have this so it can overlap and it's a pain to code for it not glitching
