This theater made me realize how much I preferred Venti's old targeting with his burst.
As we all know, Venti's burst's targeting was changed in the most recent patch.
Previously, the vortex spawned at a fixed distance from your character. This made it a bit harder to use, **but** with practice the fixed distance also made it possible to position the vortex pretty much wherever you wanted.
Now, the Vortex spawns at the exact location of the nearest enemy. This means that if the distance between 2 or more enemies is greater than the radius of the vortex pull range, Venti's burst cannot group them together. This becomes very apparent in theater, where enemies can spawn far apart.
So basically, Venti's CC/pull range is now only about half of what it was previously.

The new targeting is much better for people who don't know what they're doing
I miss it too
Hell, Venti was straight been memed for his crappy aiming of his burst...saying how he needs to sober up to aim properly.
Anyway, blame the devs for never giving us a proper target lock setting...any option tthat would lets us toggle aim preference.
One thing I see his new targeting being better at is with single target as you don't need to reposition at all. For anything with 2 or more enemies, I still think it's an overall nerf.
