It's been years since I touched this game, what teams makes the most since for me?

So I decided I wanted to get back into genshin impact and it isn't a exageration to say it has been years since I've touched it, I've been looking at tier lists to see which of my characters are still viable. I've starred characters I have fond memories with and would preffer to use. I tried to find out which character to use through different tier lists and the only thing that told me is that Kazuha is the only character I have that everyone agrees is viable.

Raiden Shogun will get a pretty significant bump in power alongside the upcoming Columbina, if you manage to pull her, for a team using the Lunar Charged reaction

That isnt actually the case here unfornatuely. Her best team will still be Raiden Overload/ Lauma Hyperbloom off field as Raiden doesn't get alot out of Columbina alone.

The Lunar reactions aren't important its what the kit of the characters that does. Since Raiden is just being a on field driver vs actually doing good damage.

Fair enough. I’m a recently returned player as well, and I definitely have some tunnel vision where Columbina is concerned 😅

Oh yeah thats understandable. Columbina is alot more potent with either Lauma or Ineffa or all 3 together, Flins and Zibai for on field

She designed around complimenting them vs a more universal approach like Furinas kit.

I was hoping Ineffa would be Phase 2 in 6.3, so I could ration my fates to get them both. The fact that she and Columbina are both Phase 1 greatly reduces my chances. Still, I have 115 fates currently saved up (no guarantee, though). We’ll see how much more I can do in the next couple weeks 😅

It depends how much primogems have you saved?

There's very strong supports/sub dpses in the game that help out older characters.

To give an overview-
Ayaka: Escoffier is absurd, point blank with her best team it overs around 100k dps or more depending on investment though freeze is very expensive.

Raiden: Lauma is the best dendro character in the game so Raiden Hyperbloom or Kuki hyperbloom still clears endgame. If more on field Raiden her best team is with Durin, Chevy for overload.

Yae Miko: Supringsly enough your actual best dps that I can see is Yae Miko. 2 very strong off field SubDps/Supports are coming on next banner and actually pair and compliment her very well considering she likes long on field time. Its not a wheelchair as Yae Mikos damage is basically the same as the other two so its a very shared and well synergistic team. The team dps is very very high and much higher than any other carry potential i can see.

A guy by name of gxgnoir on youtube did the calcs and it looked incredible. He calcs at a higher investment but you can get Yaes C1 from the permanent weekly missions. Which then can further go into more cons in the future so the relevance is there.

Those two on next banner is Columbina + Ineffa they will bring basically any 2 characters over the finish line, Yae Miko legit is ace here.

so from what this sounds like, I just need to wait for either escoffier or Lauma rerun and maybe a different character if they got powercrept by then. Sounds like I won't be doing abyss for a few months. And for temper thyself I should go for yae miko and not a new 5 star from there?

I mean if you dont want to invest into Yae or get Ineffa + Columbina then i guess so but Ayaka still wants Furina as the 3rd since there isnt a good alternative unfornately.

Ineffa is a hugely strong stand alone who doesn't need anyone in particular to be great and goes with Fischl, Sucrose, Bennett, Xingqui, Raiden, Yae, Kokomi which you already have, shes arguably the best bridge in the game for old and new characters the same with Lauma. Also there's zero chance Escoffier or Lauma gets powercrept in a couple months thats how absurd both are

Alright, I think I will be able to get 1 extra 5 star, maybe 2 if I save up very diligently, I think ineffa and Lauma both look pretty cool so I would probably want to get them. Is Lauma coming back anytime soon? I want to know how much time I have to save up for them.

Not sure when she'll rerun unfornateuly, you'll get heaps of primos returning with all the stuff and new maps on good luck!

I guess the team will be: Ineffa to activate the lunarcharge, kokomi to apply hydro, and radien to turn it into lunar charge? IDK if keqing would be better as she is a actual electro DPS.

Basically Ineffa does alot of damage off the field, a shield an em buff to the on fielder. For a taser team youd want a shredder, hydro app and an on fielder driver

The reaction is just electro charged that can crit but the thunderclouds look cool asf its what's in her kit thats most important. Like Fischl's A1 passive

So something like:

Sucrose, Xingqui, Ineffa, Fischl

Raiden, Xingqui, Ineffa, Sucrose

Kokomi, Sucrose, Ineffa, Fischl

Yae, Xingqui, Sucrose, Ineffa

Also if you have C6 Bennett she works as on field DPS exactly like National.

Also does overvape and hyperbloom

Sadly Keqing doesn't have good dps numbers outside of Aggravate but Fischl does more damage anyway. Ineffa does like 40k dps from off the field with the new artefact set coming out

rational is still goated and you have all the characters for it, also fischl sucrose,venti and razer got buffed from the hexagonal buff so you have more good options than you think , Jeans godlike if you ever get furina and my kazuha still shares mvp status on my teams
