Seeking Advice for Returning Player
I haven't played Genshin for years. I have the following questions:
1. Should I build Furina? Is there a good team I can form with her?
2. Which characters should I consider pulling for in the current or future banners?
The teams I used before were usually Childe International, Hu Tao Double Hydro, Ayaka Freeze and Nahida Hyperbloom

Get escoffier, 00 is enough. She should be rerun soon. Escoffier furina yelan ayakac2. That should be enough for a team in abyss.
Can upgrade ayaka to skirk if you have enough primos. Skirk also works better in stygian.
Furina is a support that drains hp off teammates to half. She increases team damage when team hp fluctuates. So she must be paired with a healer such as kokomi escoffier etc.
Escoffier is a healer that gives enormous buff when all teammates are cyro or hydro.
Furina's best teammate Neurvilette was no longer soas strong but furina herself is still versatile and can be plugged into many teams. You should still build her. But i dont advise on Neurvilette.
2. Columbina would be a huge power spike for your account, but you need a second Nod Krai five star to make her worthwhile. Either Ineffa or Zibai would work. Columbina+Ineffa can wheelchair a lot of characters, whereas Zibai is a more dedicated on-fielder.
When Lauma gets a rerun, she would also be a strong option. She's a massive uplift for hyperbloom teams and you already have everything to make her fairly strong.
Other strong team options require at least two five stars: Escoffier + Skirk, Mavuika + Citlali.

Furina + Bennett
Furina + Jean + Bennett
Furina + Bennett + Kazuha
Then insert 2 complimentary characters or onfielder and your set.
My favourite Furina team is the Yelan/Ineffa, Raiden, Jean, Furina one its like they are having a pose off lmao.
