Is it possible to build 4 characters in 1 and a half patch

I feel like I don't have time for anything, if I use my resin on exp books, I don't have enough resin for mora; if I use it on domains, I don't have enough for anything else (since artifact domains are basically an endless pit).

How do you guys manage it? I'm planning to pull for all 4 of the chars in the new patch (I've already prefarmed everything for Columbina except minmaxing her artifact set, starting prefarming for Ineffa, and I feel like I won't have enough time to even prefarm for her for when she arrives, and then come the 2 new characters..).

I know I should maybe slow down, but I just wanna build the characters I pull for, and I feel like that's impossible bcs by the time you build 1 or 2, 4 new come out. I only started in 5.3-5.4 and am still missing some characters I wanted. I wanna get Neuvi bcs I'm still missing a hydro dps, bina and zibai bcs of the new lunar crystalize, and ineffa for Nefer/Flins teams.

It just feels like there's never enough resin, I even spend the daily 50 primos for 60 extra resin and am still behind. I've been doing the SMS artifact domain for some time and hopefully can at least have a decent starter build for Columbina, and in 6.3 I need to farm the new domain for Ineffa and Durin, and I got some okayish artifacts for Neuvi.

There's a lot of discussion about her best set, but overall conclusion was that if you plan to use Columbina in more than 1 team, SMS is best on her; so I plan to use bina on SMS and Ineffa on new set.

I didn't use a calculator, I just look up what materials each character needs and start with their boss mats, their flowers and stuff, then get down to gold for lvl up and ascension, and exp books

Spending primos for resin is not worth it, save it for pulling for new characters and just build characters at pace the resin lets you, which should still be faster than the rate you obtain 5\* at. Also only level relevant talents, eg. for Chevreuse you can completely ignore her normal attack as you will just use her skill (and burst).

Focus on building one character or team at a time. If you spread your resources too thin you might struggle during fight as you will have bunch of mid characters instead few good.

Yeah I usually do that, but these 2 banners are really stacked and it seems there won't be enough time to build all of these before the end of the new stygian, IT and abyss. Idk what shill will be this time around, but it will probably involve the new characters, so I gotta focus on them I guess.

And I just spend the 50 primos, I don't go higher than that. I think it's a nice 60 resin boost, since we already get such an absurdly small amount of resin daily

We also get low amount of primogems but you do you. 50 primogems is not much but if you do it daily in a month it's 10 wishes you could be closer to your next 5*.

The stable cycle for me is 2 characters per patch. If there is a patch I haven't pulled new characters on only then do I have more to spend

hmm personally, I calculate how much materials I need for the character/s and then do the boss mats first til I have enough, and then do 1week just straight up mora farm, then 1 week just character lvl books, and then repeat. and When the math is mathing, I just dump everything on farming artifacts on Stygian. Idk if its optimal, but it works for me.

I'd definitely slow down if I were you, cuz if you get all 4 characters, it's not possible to farm for them all at once if you dont have a lootttttt of fragile resin.

Yeah I do that too, I look up what mats they need, prefarm them, get the boss mats, talent and lvl up mats, then grind for mora and exp books leylines. But this banner seems so stacked that I don't see how I'll be able to build all of them in time for the new cycle of SO and SA

yeah it is hard in your case cuz you're pulling for 4 characters, at best I think you'll be able to build them at ok-ish/usable state and just optimize their build and talent levels along the way. Because building them in a single patch might be impossible if you dont have a lot of fragile resin, or if you dont use primogems to get resin (unless you're a whale)

I have spent 75 fragile to build Durin, Varesa, Chevvy and Iansan from the beginning of the patch until now. Durin, Chevvy and Varesa is now lv80, Iansan lv70 with the most important talent lv8 (7 for Iansan), the rest lv1.

Note that I have leftover artifacts and weapons so I don't really farm much for them if at all. Durin requires DPS NO which I had for Bennett back when people actually optimize damage for his burst, I have lots of Obsidian Codex from farming Scroll and I have a spare scroll set back when I farm for Citlali. As I'm typing this I realise I gave Chevvy NO as well so I should go back and fix that.

I will say I spend the most on XP, then bosses, then books and weapon ascension.

TLDR you can but that is not recommended. Just build 1 character per month.

Slow down and focus on what you have, at least prioritise 1 character, you'll get to build them all eventually.

Ive got most of my endgame teams built already, but focusing on the lunar ones atm, since that's what we need for SO and SA these days.

Ive got Varesa overload, mav melt, skirk freeze, kinich burning, nefer lunarbloom, flins lunarcharged, so im just missing a good geo and hydro dps right now, but also need all 4 of these 😭😭

I don't think a patch gives enough mora or books to level up 4 characters.

Suppose I level up a character, triple crown it and everything within a day using resin/primos whatever only to find their damage is crap because the artifacts I have suck.

So for me it all boils down to whether I have decent enough artifacts to play the character in end game modes or not. If I don't have it, I'll just delay it and keep farming artifacts domain until I have some decent pieces which usually takes quite a few weeks (months even). In that time we also get mora and books from dailies and any ongoing event.

So I never really have to farm mora and books leylines (except for overflow events because they are resin efficient). This way I saved up resin for other things and also primos. Also teapot provides some mora, books and 60 resin every week.

Otherwise you can just use your wallet...

I don't have this problem because Hoyo has never put 4 characters I care about in one patch, haha. I'm lucky if I even want one per patch so I've always got enough for the characters I pull.

Spending primos everyday just for some resin seems like a huge waste. That adds up to a lot of lost pulls. Just be patient. They're not going anywhere, build as you can.

yeah i know it adds up to a lot of spent primos, but it also adds up to a lot of gained resin. Considering we only get 180 resin every 24 hours, 60 resin is 1/3 (8 hours) worth of resin, so I guess it's just a compomise where I only get 40 primos a day with welkin instead of 90.

the 1500 primos monthly is like 9 pulls, but is 1800 resin (which is 45 domains, leylines or bosses loot collected if you collect 40 at a time), which I think is a very valuable resource with a small price to pay for it.

I still don't see what the hurry is. If you can clear end game now, that's not likely to change. And even if it does, you're probably still losing more primos by spending 50 everyday for resin than you're going to get back from clearing those, but if it works for you, go for it. They just need to be 70/80 with the only talents leveled up being the important ones. The only artifacts they need are for the one or two principal stats if support.

That is a very easy task.

It’s a stretch, for sure. I started farming for Columbina in 6.1 (talent books, I guessed the right ones). When the 6.3 leaks came out, I started working on Ineffa, Zibai and Illuga, and finished farming for Columbina (including the signature weapons). By the end (a couple days ago!) I had all obtainable mats for all four. I already had enough character XP books on hand. I also had a decent artifact set for all 4, which I had to level, but not farm (I had been farming the artifact domain relentlessly until 6.2). I needed a bit more mora which I finished getting today, I am now farming some mora so I’m not too poor when I pay for all this stuff. Getting paid version of BP definitely helps - you get more XP books, artifact XP, mora, talent books, resin, etc. I have a lot of mats on hand from playing very regularly, doing all events, 100% exploration, and getting BP every patch, but this will wring me dry.
