Are people actually offended that Neuvillette is getting a skin on Lantern Rite???

I've seen tweets saying he shouldn't get one because he's a White/French/Fontaine character, that it should have been a Liyue character getting one, and that it's bad because it doesn't look Chinese.

So, basically... offensive to Chinese culture?

As if... the company that made the game, the character and the skin... wasn't Chinese themselves...?

I am disappointed as a Xiao main/fan.

I just think it's a bit silly they are giving a skin to a unit whose model still holds up very well, when they could have given it to an older unit in need of an overall upgrade. (e.g. how they also fixed the twins' faces and hair quality with their skin)

If not Xiao, I would have liked someone like Kazuha or Albedo get a skin in terms of 5\* males.

I mean, this isn't the first time non-Liyue characters have gotten outfits during a Lantern Rite patch. Ayaka and Lisa got their outfits during 3.4, the same patch as the Exquisite Night Chimes Lantern Rite. There were NO Liyue skins that patch - at least this time we get Yao Yao's.

These complaints are just noise.
