While i really like the skin, i personally think his default outfit looks better. It doesn't matter if the skin is a 9/10 if the default is a 10/10. I feel this way about most of the skins in this game. I don't even use half of the free ones.

his hair in rat tail is 1 boring because hoyo does rat tails on half the characters and also kinda messy and greasy looking. neuvi strikes me as a man who washes 15 times a day

his shirt is fine but the coat on top of it looks like its stitched to his delts instead naturally on him because of how open the front is and from behind the coat acts kind of like a cape. this "cape" is completely open from the front and reaches a weird middle ground around his thighs making it look more like cheap superhero stuff

the pants just exist, i dont get why they dont have any detail or shape. the fact that they poke under the coat cape makes them look even worse, at least the normal ones are draped with his coat thing

finally the whole thing doesnt compliment him?! the original has an hourglass shape, it really puffs up his chest especially with the white color and his coat widens at the end giving him a kind of tail. both of these make him appear more draconic and imposing

i think the problem is that most skins are kind of formalware like xingqiu or yelan but neuvillette was already on some pretty formal shit so they instead tried to make him more casual but i just dont think neuvi casual really works or rather this is a bad go at it.

neuvi has some very european clothing but now he is in liyue. i would have loved them giving us some chinese wuxia vibe, make him look like the guy from apothecary diaries, i know neuvi can pull that off. chinese neuvi would go really hard especially for the massive cn playerbase.

For me, the chopped skin is Yelan. Lol the only good on that skin is her hair upgrade.

I think it's uninteresting to make it the same color scheme and overall vibe as the base one when skins are so rarely made... Totally fair to like it, but i for one would prefer to see a different color palette...

If it takes more than a glance to realize it’s a different outfit, it’s definitely not “the best skin released so far”. It’s not a bad outfit, but the color palette is the exact same, so it just doesn’t really make it worth the cost of a 10-pull. I say this as a total fan of him and also a Yelan simp, who did not buy her outfit for the same reasons.

It's not *bad* per se, but his big coat in his regular outfit gives him the illusion of some bulk, especially to his arms. But here, the noodle arms are on full display.

It also would have been really nice to have a splash of color, instead of all blues with gold accents.

Maybe it's just me too, but his head seems really weird on this model as well.

Whenever I consider to purchase a skin in a game I ask myself this: If the new skin was the base skin, would I buy and rather use his base skin if it was released as something new? For this case my answer is yes. I think his base skin is better.

I like Neuv's skin BUT its kinda insane that a French Character is getting a skin at LANTERN RITE before 2 adepti, a literal archon, a zombie child(who is best friends with the other character getting a skin) and a doctor/herbalist.

The past few Lantern Rites gave us Keqing, Ningguang, Shenhe, Xingqiu, Ganyu, Hu Tao and Xiangling. All Liyue characters. I get they're changing it up, but how can they realistically overlook Xiao or Zhongli for skins?? Xiao is such an old unit that a lot of early players have. Zhongli JUST had a rerun. Qiqi is a standard unit, majority of players own her and she's the only original standard unit without a skin. Baizhu doesn't really have much significance (i haven't done his story quest so i only know basic Baizhu lore at the moment). Xianyun is relatively newer and from Chenyu Vale, and she's really a niche unit so its fair for her to not have a skin yet.

There's Tartag 'from liyue technically' but I'm assuming he's going to have a snezhneya skin.

I don't dislike it, but it's way too similar to what he's wearing already. Like, give us cool draconic robes or aomething.

Considering the creativity we've seen from fans, and the many, many different skins and themes they could've gone with for Neuvillette, honestly, yeah, I'm pretty disappointed that essentially all they've done is turned his coat into a jacket and put his hair in a ponytail.

The hair looks good, don't get me wrong, and the skin definitely isn't as bad as it could've been considering, but objectively it's just... Boring. Aside from the hair, looking at that cropped screenshot, you could genuinely fool me into thinking that was just his ordinary skin.

Everyone's opinion in their own, and mine is that this skin bores me. It's pretty, and it's boring.

It's not chopped, but not anywhere near the best so far. It doesn't change much about Neuvillete's normal appearance, and there's been tons of dark blue skins released in a rather short amount of time.
In my opinion, Hu Tao's skin is the best so far; it fits the the event AND the character perfectly, playing into her characterization and changing her whole vibe quite a lot from her normal appearance. Skins that are either a perfect representation of another side of the character or play well into the event's theme are the best. Fischl's, Bennett's, Hu Tao's Kirara's, Ningguang's, Nilou's, all play really well into the character by expanding their characterization while also make it a breathe of fresh air.
Neuvillete's new skin is just another of Neuvi's suit. A fancier one, but nothing really stands out. Though I hope that means Archons may start getting skins for themselves eventually.

It's super ugly, why is Neuvi wearing a coat on his back like a 12 year old boy on the way home from school too lazy to put his coat on? Even worse is how it's not even resting on his shoulders but appears stitched stuck to his other coat? Even worse than that is said other coat, he's already wearing one, he doesn't need another.

I don't even care about all the blue, that's his colour, but if they dropped that extra loose coat the skin would at least be passable but Nevui in his skin both looks stupid and it makes him seem stupid as a person.

Hmm I like that the style is a bit modern, like modern-fancy instead of 1800s-fancy. But I wish it was a different color. I like when skins are a different color from the original, makes them feel fresh to me.

If the hair would be the same as the default skin you'd be in the same boat. Neuvilettes main colour scheme is blue and this one blue with more of his legs showing from the front. At least give us a different color palette or change up the silhouette.

The skin is bad at what it's supposed to do, which is offer a unique and different design for the character. That's the entire point of skins in games.

It still shares the same regal theme and blue color scheme as his default. It would be good if it was primarily white with blue accents instead of the same blue on blue that he already has by default.

Objectively, it **is** bad. It doesn't matter if he just looks pretty. **Everyone** looks pretty.
