What’s up with people saying “wheelchair” recently?
Recently I’ve seen a ton of content creators, people on social media, etc. using the term “wheelchair” when referring to a character getting carried by certain team comps. Where did this trend even come from?
Maybe I’m too old for this community, but what happened to people saying “backpacked” or “carried”? It seems exclusive to the Genshin community too (or maybe the Gacha community in general, not really sure) but it just seems weird. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not some old-head who hates when new slang catches on, but this one is just bizarre. It’s especially weird when I hear content creators using it, like bro, you’re a grown man in your 30s with a wife and kids, wyd?
Maybe I’m too woke, but it just seems in poor taste. Like we’re really using a term that describes a character who gets carried as disabled? Yikes.

only diff is just the term is more from CN, whatever we labeled or not doesn't really matter
I once had the same reaction when people started to use it back in Natlan about Yelan-Furina-Xilonen, and was met with reactions such as "wheelchair is not bad" or "nobody I know got offended by it"
Unironically uses the word "yikes".
Tell me you aren't actually actually "too old for this community" without telling me.
It's annoying.
Carried is a verb. Wheelchair is a team.
"Backpacked" is something people never said.

Total cringe take. Yes you are too woke for even this sub.
Wheelchair is just the new version of the slang.
We used to call them Crutches in TeamFortress and the players who used them were disabled.
Here’s 13 years old post to prove my point.

Edit:
It’s really funny being a old gamer because it seems Genshin is the first game this community played for real in their life’s.
