Hoyo, move local specialties to 24 hour daily timer already.
If you will not let us prefarm let us at least not need a week while we beg co op worlds who are also empty because of a hyped character release.
This is not fun this adds nothing but a time tax on new characters to enjoy using them.

And what I’d love to ask the suits in corporate exec suite…..”you numbskulls ever thought if I didn’t ‘have’ to be time gated so much on Genshin, maybe I’d be more interested in trying other games of yours too? Giving you MORE potential avenues of revenue from me?”
It’s ridiculous. And it’s such a turn off. I only keep doing it because this has became my one game. But I sure as shit don’t spend as much as I used to. Why? Probably because I view Hoyo as a whole, in a rather sad and pathetic light.
Genshin is a fun game! And it could be SO MUCH better for players, as well as an even larger revenue source for them…if they actually tried fixing/chsnging/updating so many of the stupid systems in game.
Like individually looting. Like the weird ass time gating for herbs. Different time gates for ores (I think, WTF do I know). Different time gates for teapot. Different time gates for energy earning. It’s all so stupidly convoluted.
As ONE tiny minuscule example (okay 2)…HSR has mass looting AND automatic pickup. AND has a massive reserve bank to save up “resin” if you can’t play everyday.
How TF can another of your games have BETTER systems in place for those 2 examples….snd you don’t try to implement that across all your games?
WTF is wrong with Hoyo…it makes zero sense.
They should not be a huge chore, they should be something I can get without too much stress exploring a zone.
But of course shills, have to downvote my first comment ☠️
I mean, yeah, this is a PvE live service that, at best, releases a dozen or two hours of content every 6 weeks.
If you just play an hour or two a day, you run out of content way before the next patch drops.
Wasting your time with artificial time gates is the only thing Mihoyo can do to to keep you around in between updates.
> it could be SO MUCH better for players, as well as an even larger revenue source for them
I'd like to note that happier customers =/= more revenue.
Look at streaming services with their price hikes and password sharing crackdowns.
Yes, they all bled subscribers... but they also became more profitable.
They even have fewer contents than genshin, but their farming mechanic is very convenient. Hell, if you have enough stamina replenisher, you can raise your unit from 1 to max level in one day anytime anyday in those games
Why are they not afraid of losing players too?
From what I've heard, their version of artefact grind is even more miserable than Genshin's.
They also have a faster shifting meta (aka, faster power creep), which forces them to pull more and build more characters than Genshin over the same time frame.
There's also just the fact that Mihoyo is slow as shit for basic QoL features, so even if Mihoyo is aware that they *could* make Genshin's grind easier without compromising profitability, they just haven't gotten around to it.
On the flip side, while HSR/ZZZ might have easier grind than Genshin, those games are also still wasting a crapton of your time with arbitrary time gates.
Also in the end it all depends on each person's luck. Genshin gearing is sure better than HSR. But then i saw several people complaining that they can't get any good sets in months, while i can keep getting some good sets within 1-7 days in HSR.
>They also have a faster shifting meta (aka, faster power creep)
Yes they are. But that's what i'm confused about. HSR has its powercreep, and if people hate that the game surely will lose a lot of players right?
Yet, HSR still has a super fast and convenient farming system. Why is it not trying to retain the players with timegatings? And why is HSR still big despite all that?
