Capture Radiance question

So my friend been telling me since the introduction of Capture Radiance, he said his been keep getting hard pity n losing 5050, when bfr it's introduction he said, he kept getting early pity n winning his 5050....yah i know its placebo i ald told him that n he is still in denial....does anyone else also been facing the same thing as him? did the Capture Radiance really makes the drop rate worst or it is just placebo n shit luck
