That tale is about scaramouche taking the gnosis and becoming a god, unless genshin is telling the same tale twice for a character, this story isnt about nod krai

The moon in this story I believe symbolises archonhood/nahida. Since she has a lot of moon symbolism in game. There is no evidence of it meaning the actual moon. He also didnt say anything against the moons in the current quests either to my knowledge. So I think he just wants revenge against dottore for what he did to him and not to be an actual moon.
