Laptop storage question
Hello!
I've been wanting to play games on pc for a while, and I finally got a gaming laptop. Storage has always been a problem for me. I first installed genshin on my IPad (which only has 32GB in total haha, so I obviously had to stop playing it there), and afterwards I tried playing it on my phone, but I needed the space for other things.
The thing is, I really want to start playing again. However, I don't know if my laptop is gonna run worse if I install genshin, and it's crucial for me that it works well because I fully depend on it for highschool. I'm planning on buying a new IPad for college later this year, so I could wait for it if it seems like the best option.
Here are the details of the laptop:
It's an IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6, with 477GB (of which 278GB are free as of now), an AMD Ryzen 5 5500H with Radeon Graphics, 16GB of RAM and 4GB of graphic card. My GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050. Honestly I don't know much about this, so I don't know if there's something else that's relevant.
Should I install it in my laptop or wait until I buy the IPad?
Thank you :)

It does suck you only have 500gb storage though. You will be taking 1/4th of that just for Genshin.
477GB = means you got a 512GB SSD, you have enough Storage in the SSD.
And looking at your device's specs there should be have an extra Drive?(SSD or 1tb HDD) If there's not you might wanna add more extra storage for your school work and other files.
The Cpu Ryzen 5 5500H is fine, the Gpu RTX 2050 will run fine at 60fps medium settings 1080p. 16gb ram is plenty enough.

Most performance is unaffected.
SSD ***write*** performance will drop severely when the drive starts getting full (85-90%+), but, 1) you'd probably never notice it as a regular user, and 2) that's agnostic to the type of data. If you filled the SSD with documents instead of games, it'd still slow down.
And to emphasize, it's only write performance that suffers. Read performance (i.e., how fast things load) should be unaffected.
Also, if storage is a concern, that laptop should have an unused m.2 slot where you can just install another SSD:

If you prefer to see a video:

Ignore the video where it says there's a 2.5" bay. The chassis has the physical mounting point, probably because Lenovo is reusing an old design, but it doesn't have the electrical connections.
The open drive slot will likely be for a standard m.2 2280 NVMe SSD, while the pre-installed drive is a M.2 2242 NVMe SSD, if you ever want to replace that.
If you do want to upgrade though, you might want to hurry up. The memory shortage is hitting SSDs as well, albeit not as hard as it hit RAM. For now anyways.
