Those wings have a totally different color, not a slight lighting/contrast difference like with all the other characters from the trailer

Yes it's a bit of a far-fetched take, but come-on, in that trailer they looked 100% pure geo, and now have a clear hue of pyro

And not that I'm complaning, it looks even more ethereal like this, I liked this shot so much i might just skip columbina and varka for her, also the fact that she doesn't have that stupid hat but the halo instead, ahhh... I don't know what to do..

Geo? Did people ever speculate that Nicole would be Geo? I thought everyone assumed she was Cryo before we found her wearing a Pyro Vision.

First it was like 3/4 leakers saying cryo, 1/4 geo, after the Moonlit Ballad trailer everyone though geo, and now, well, we have pyro, at this point it's like guessing hsr elements

That's a problem with taking leakers words for granted most of them are just saying things without knowing anything and are indeed just guesses because the community says so. A leaker said that the Kuuhenki is Nicole and times and times it was proven like that. Ik you said you like the new more anyways and it's also a non-issue if it's a last minute change or not. We will never know if there was really a change or not. They might have told the animation team 6-7 months ago that they should just go with an angelic colored wing theme that roughly should like that.

And regarding the leakers, yeah, most of them are just throwing mud on the walls and see what sticks, trust or not only depends on one's previous record, and the truly 100% reliable ones (HomDG, hxg\_diluc, GenshinAnimationInfo etc.) never really leak anything further than 1-2 patches in advance

Made up expectation of her element based on rumours and so called "leaks" turned wrong because they didnt really know shit and were just looking for attention

Ingame model proved them wrong, and yet here you are, a full patch later, complaining they "changed her element last minute" somehow, when by the time she first showed up even on preload, people already saw her pyro vision

i think this is the case, yeah. The old trailer has extremely cold-toned lighting - only the silver of moonlight, right? - while the new one shows her in much warmer lighting, reflected by the reddish sky. I also believe the Nod-Krai teaser trailer and the in-game cutscenes are animated differently? So some things will change slightly across models.
