How big will nod krai still get, if total exploration progress is only at 35%?

Data from hoyoapp, just noticed that nod krai total exploration is only at 35%?? I thought it was only supposed to be an in-between region, and we haven't had any references to other regions during quests as far as I can tell.

Im caught up on the archon quests, so not much left.
Im really surprised we will still almost triple in size of the map based on this. First time im actually caught up with quests and waiting for a new region to open .

The 35% isn't 100%, so to go from 35 to 100 would be an increase of around \~280%, not 65%.

No, 180% of something would be 1.8x the original value. The remaining region should be about 286% larger.

You know what, your initial correction is right. Colloquially an "increase of" is treated the same as "increase to", but semantically they're very different. My mistake!

I love how we're all getting together in the pedantry here, ha ha. But you are right: this would constitute an increase of \~180%, since we are adding \~180% to the original value (100%), to reach a sum total of \~280%.

But if we're really splitting hairs, technically exploration does not correlate to the size of the region, just the number of explorable objectives. We could have a tiny island the size of Mondstadt with a treasure chest every 5 steps, or a sprawling island the size of Liyue with one treasure chest on each cardinal extreme end.

So we can't be sure just how much larger Nod-Krai's going to get.

Nod Krai wont be the only region "expanded" during this cycle

And yes, we have gotten references to other regions, not just through quests, but events(cooking on liyue), or letters(Jean iirc)

we have roughly 1/3 of the region, which means we have roughly 2/3's left to release, but after the 14th we will have more Nod Krai map and we will know how much map that covers.

My prediction:

6.4 Dornman Port

6.5 Filler Patch / Miliastra Update

6.6 Final Nod-Krai area. Personally, I think it's a Chasm-like area on the moon.

6.7 Summer Patch => Blackcliff Forge area for Liyue.

I think they skip 6.8 to get back to launching new areas in the summer. But that still only takes us to mid-August. If we do get 6.8, then my 6.7 prediction gets pushed. In this scenario they launch 7.0 on the 6th anniversary.

we always get a x. 8 update which is the summer update.. 6,7 not gonna be the summer update.

but there was a talk that they plan to rerun old summer maps.. we also yet to get yelan village in liyue, and the sumeru gurabad where liloupar went or either the sumeru canyon which was mentioned by countless of characters, plus dandelion sea map. and there was another sea map mentioned related to inazuma..and also hyperborea and the forest area lauma mentions map there like 8 more areas,, i hope tehy dont plan to push sneznaya back to 8.0, but if they give us all those maps right after another with ton of quests (cuz maps are done months and years in advance) i dont care in sneznaya comes in 8.0 instead XD

cuz its not the last map, we also have keanriah, celestia, abyss and more becuz teyvat was always said to be 1 continent on this planet from early game, which means on the other side of it there might be another contitnet which we will get to explore at the 2nd chapter of the planet, cuz 1st chapter is teyvat specificly)

Nod-Kari’s full size will be the same as any other nation. Assuming it follows the usual pattern, it’s going to have three more map expansions, not including any potential expansions for previous nations.

We will get a new area that is 80 % larger than the current area in Nod Krai. So, I'm guessing we will get 2 more expansions (one of which coming in Luna IV)
