Would returning be fun?
Hey y'all!! As the title states, im wondering if itd be fun to return to genshin impact. Hsr has been getting a little too boring and with ANOTHER path coming out, I think imma take a break for a while.
I stopped playing genshin near the beginning of fontaine. Im wondering how the state of the game is rn. The only "big" characters I have rn are neuvillette, wanderer, raiden shogun and itto. Im sure with all the new mechanics and stuff I'll probably get myself beat but I think I still wanna try. Though I still have a few questions.
1. Is the game "healthy" enemy and mechanic wise? My most recent character is Neuvillete (technically furina but shes support for me). So, how would I do in the current state of the game?
2. Are the archon quests still a hassle or were they enjoyable for y'all? Reminder, im starting from the beginning of fontaine.
3. Has the game gotten better in your opinion? Event wise, character wise, ect.?
Those are my main questions. But yeah, I feel as though id enjoy coming back. I'd like to know ALL of yours guys thoughts and opinion on how the game has evolved!! Ive been keeping track of the general story so I kinda know what's going on, but if there's additional stuff I dont know about, please let me know! If youve got anything to add as well, lmk, im interested in how the game has either done better or possible done worse in aspects, thanks 👋.

That said, some game and boss mechanics cater to certain regions. Until you pick up the latest 6.x characters, I would forego the most challenging end-game stuff. If you can let go of that, I think you'd find Genshin still plenty enjoyable.
The Natlan archon quest after Fontaine’s isn’t great, it has its moments. I love anything to do with Citlali.
After Natlan is Nod-Krai, which has been great so far, second to Fontaine imo. Lots of old characters are finally being shown in story, and some playable. Columbina, Sandrone, Varka, Alice.
If you care about meta, you’re way behind not having anything from Natlan or Nod-Krai, but that’s not to say you can’t bounce back. Power creep is ongoing and new units are always being released. Columbina and Ineffa are on the next banner, and they’d do wonders for you.
Events have mostly stayed the same in quality, if you loved them before, you’ll love them now.
The game has introduced a ton of QoL. Capturing Radiance is a big one.
It doesn’t cost you anything to come back and try the game again, if you’re interested, go for it.
They just need to wait for a few reruns to complete their box. Either grab Skirk/Escoffier, Mavuika/Citlali or Lauma for example in the future patches.
But if you found Sumeru AQ tedious, you might still not like the game, and maybe it just isn't for you.
