The Fall of Kaenri'ah - Is History Repeating Itself?
Just caught up with all of Nod-Krai, I played Act 1 to 6 all in one go and can't help but notice a few things. I'm not really a very good "lore-ist" nor "theorist" but it would be nice to just put it out there and see what other people think.
So basically we find out a whole lot about Rerir and a bit more about the five sinners of Khaenri'ah.
I'm noticing a pattern where things that happened in the past are currently happening in present:
1. In the past, Vedrfolnir lost his eyesight because the Vinster King was angered by his prophecy - In the present, Nefer nearly loses her sight after battling Rerir. Nefer and Vedrfolnir also has abilities that kind of are in the same realm.
2. In the past, Tholindis opened a Moon Gate - In the present, Columbina also opened a Moon Gate and fell into it much like Tholindis did, animation and all.
3. In the past, Traveller's sibling was deemed a "savior" by the then Vinster King of Kaenri'ah - In the present, Dottore sold himself as a "savior" to the Hyperborea people. I quote from dialogue "They (Hyperborean people) speak of a savior (Dottore) who appeared in their history, one who never should've existed. This savior promised to create a new moon within the false sky, and even bring back their Moon Goddess,"
Going off of this it seems like history is repeating itself. I'm also thinking that the "five sinners" are in present Nod-Krai or at least their "equivalent is"
The Five Sinners:
Vedrfolnir - Nefer
Rhinedottir - Albedo
Rerir - Appeared as himself in Nod-Krai
Surtalogi - is considered still alive so I'm wondering if he's gunna show up in Nod-Krai too
Hroptatyr - No one knows what happened to this one, but I feel like Alice showing up is his equivalent

Remuria was destined to fall and they were fighting against it by forming hive mind - which led into the fall in the first place.
Fontaine was destined to flood and Focalor succeeded to avoid harm while letting original prophecy come true. This is only time a nation succeeded in some level, but with great cost.
Dragon spine civilization was prophecied to fall (princess got that prophecy herself) and they were fighting against it but failed.
Even angels were destined to fall, they started a rebellion against PO - and that led to their fall.
One minor spoiler here: >! Alice even says during Nod Krai Archon Quest that this has happened several times before; Whoever displeases Heavenly Principles gets ousted !<
