I hate this asshole. I just finished farming the antlers that Columbina is (apparently) going to need, and this boss makes me want to rip my hair out. It's so frustrating because he's just a big feathery punching bag without his stupid gimmick and then he's just suddenly totally unbeatable. I tried nine different teams and his immunity gimmick completely shut down seven of them - eight if he decided to be immune to the wrong thing.

So yeah. Any advice for anybody else? This boss sucks.

And please no "One-shot with Mavuika herpaderp" comments. They're annoying and don't help anyone.

You didn't really read the boss' description did you

He doesn't become immune to the "wrong thing", you decide what he becomes immune to (and get infused with).

I knew about the gimmick already because he was in... oh frig, I can't remember the name all of a sudden. He was in the three boss trial thing a while ago.

And by "wrong thing", I mean, I had Hydro, two Electro and one Anemo, and the second fight, he picked up Anemo, which completely screwed the rotation. The first fight he didn't, and that team did fine.

I edited my post. Mizuki/Ineffa/Fischl/Furina Lunar Charge. He didn't pick up Anemo the first time and the team completely smoked him. Second time he picked up Anemo and the team barely survived the fight.

Yes the laser phase, when it turns black and there is little circle thing under his health bar.

No, it's not the lasers. The lasers are *part* of the absorb phase, which is the entire time it turns black and has the little circle gauge and has increased damage resistance.

The gauge is filled by hitting it. 50 hits to fill the gauge, lunar reaction damage counts as 6 hits.

However, while the gauge is filled by hits, the element absorption/immunity is determined by damage. If most of the damage it took was physical or lunar damage, then it doesn't become immune to or absorb any element.

If it took the most damage from a non lunar element, then it absorbs that element.

This boss sucks even if you know how to beat it, because it's sole purpose for existing is to shill lunar reactions.

If you don't have lunar characters, then you have to spend forever filling the gauge with a sub DPS you're willing to lose, giving up all actual damage for the 20 or 30 or whatever seconds it takes to fill the gauge.

If, on the other hand, you have a NK character, you can just DPS it as normal because all the lunar damage you're dealing means the boss won't absorb anything, and you even get to fill the gauge faster.

Have you tried using Quickbloom or Hyperbloom? I use that team and it works against it.

I had to use Klee/Escoffier/Citlali/Sucrose Melt. It was the only thing that he didn't completely shut out.

I had Nilou Bloom for a while and that did not work. Him picking up Dendro nullified the bloom damage.

You know maybe if you actually follow the gimmick it won't be that miserable. It will become immune to the element that hit it the most, so please for the love of god stop hitting it with your main element during the absorb phase.

Uh... I'd fight Herra any day over the Wild Hunts. Herra doesn't need ascendant gleam. And if you purposefully infuse him with one particular element, you can cheese him.

Like, if I infuse him with a cryo, my Arlecchino will melt the shit out of him like no tomorrow. Or if I infuse him with hydro, my bloom/hyperbloom/lunar bloom team would get seeds guaranteed.

You just have to keep damaging it with one particular element you want it to be infused with to exploit it for your own benefit.

If things get hard for no reason or the boss is pulling a cheat code out of nothing then chances are you are missing something. So it's better to stop for the time being, search for information or ask for help. It'll save you some sanity

Assuming you’re on a F2P account and don’t have any five stars;

Xiangling, Bennett, Barbara, Charlotte/Kaeya, anyone with decent cryo application

Use Barbara/your cryo to convert the aura to hydro or cryo.

Whip out your XL Bennett and give it a smack.

Rinse repeat, ez.

Tried Eula? Worked for me. All the elemental resistance in the world doesn't help against blunt force trauma.
