Will we get a linguistic crises when we ACTUALLY get into version 6.X?

Right now, people are calling the Luna updates either Luna X. OR 6.X. My question is... When Nod-Krai is finished and all the Luna updates are done, will the game continue with 6.X? And if it does, what will the community call it? We can't really call it 7.X bc that will need to translate to all other versions as well (7 becomes 8, 8 becomes 9, etc..). Then will we simply call it 6.X again? Then newer and sometimes even older players will get confused about which update is being talked about, especially if it's an older post. The best solution would probably be for the devs to simply make the next version 7.X, but that also doesn't really work, does it? What do you guys think? How will it continue?

If you look closely at the login screen, in the lower left corner it has the "real" version number. Currently we are at 6.2.

They aren't going to repeat that because it will mess up the actual versioning system so they probably will just go to 7.x or maybe for casual conversation they will keep up the precedent they've set and call Snezhnaya the Cryo version or something.

but no one uses the "real" version number except leakers. Hoyo never calls it that outside of the login screen.

Genshin Impact: Song of the Welkin Moon, is a marketing tactic to get buzz and make people give it a second look because it sounds kinda like dlc/a sequel rather than more of the same ol' Genshin.

It is still 6.x, and Snezhnaya will be 7.x, but will probably get its own title based on how successful NK's rebranding has been

yes I'm expecting there will be.

They will call snez 6.x in official communications, and in the client it will say 7.x.

The leaks sub will go through a lot of confusion, but eventually they will have to get over it.
