Now that i have seen aethers skin i'm really sad i choose lumine. Blue is 1 of my favorite colors. And he loos so good in it. I really hope we can switch but i just know Genshin will not allow that 😭

They just can't accept that aether is the canonical traveler.
As a die hard Aether's fan, IMO his skin isn't great. The clothes are more generic, and the color scheme doesn't suit him that much. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with the mere fact that my boy got a skin, but really wish it was something more interesting.

The coat doesnt really suit him and added to the generic ponytail it feels like they covered kayea's outfit, whitened it up and gave it to Aether.

I hope they upgrade his original skin overall. His default outfit is really my favorite in the whole game, it just needs some overhaul to match the quality of the newest chars.

I agree. They got rid of a lot of his defining features, which is fine if it’s replaced with something unique. I really like a lot of the aspects of Aether’s original design that aren’t present in the costume.

I’m an Aether main too and I have similar feelings about this new skin. I tried to express them with a comment on our subreddit and got massively downvoted.
Even keeping these colours, I’d personally recolour the dark grey part under his neck. This image doesn’t show it well because that part is covered in the thinking position, but the contrast there looks weird to me.
I really hope they will upgrade his original skin too. I always liked it and I still like it more.

Hello, I actually tried really hard to main him. I have max talent even crowned the newer once but as his damage falls off i max out his talent still but doesnt crown him anymore. I have c6 yelan for him and now c6 mavuika. I just dont like how hoyo treats the MC.

Well that is what happens mc is supposed to be weak they have to give many buffs to him and his weapon he is still not on power lvl like other descenders nor in lore or gameplay considering Primordial One and Nibelung but still I won't get hopes up its a free char and this is a gatch game not a solo leveling game

I've only really seen Aether players doomposting Lumine's new design. All the Lumine players have mostly praise for Lumine's new design.
And most Aether players I've seen are more displeased with Aether's new design due to the removal of his more iconic colors amongst other features.

Lumine is the reason I started Genshin to begin with so I am VERY biased. I really like Aether's coat because it reminds me of base Lumine's skirt but the new pants look really bad. Makes his appearance look more washed out

Easy answer: People simp for lumine (especially because of the outfit change which looks good on her) and are pissed at loosing boy tummy, dainty, crop top Aether. Also people think that it looks too generic and keep on complaining about the color scheme. Honestly imo, it looks good on him. I didn't hate the crop top but I did think it looked odd (it grew on me later and I LOVED how the colour changed according to the element in use. Adding more elements onto the croptop or removing the crop top and adding more black in his design would look good but I am not mad about loosing it in the new skin). I am more interested in the buffs he got because that is what actually changes him gameplay. I use him in my Keqing aggravate team so with the EM buff DMC got, keqing's powercrept ass is going to be somewhat relevant again. Also elemental infusion is going to save his insane ER requirements (Mihoyo will do ANYTHING in their power to keep traveller weak. Now they broke that chain he/she are good now).

Well i think traveler don't care about much about like another peson. for them they just want to find thier shibling. this is just some sort of idiots who start shipping charcaters. like aether really never show in love with anyone as lumine too. they are outherwordly gods and maybe they just have to stay togesther even there age is 500+ years. i am taking about incets but i don't think any ship have chance with traveler
