[雞哥confession ](https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV13LiiB1Edc/?spm_id_from=333.337.search-card.all.click)

The confession made by 雞哥. They are making Genshin Anime. It will take time to finish it, because they have a lot of projects undergoing.

I am not sure I use right term because English is not my 1st language. 在做了在做了 in term of context, basically mean we are making it , making it , please be patient.

I think his words translate to “Things are stable and moving forward step by step” and “no accidents” or smt but that’s from chatgpt translation.

No confirmation here. And Genshin Anime is in Ufotable production list.

Yeah. Genshin anime made in Japan won't happen.

Augustus30002026-01-03 10:41

Then they wouldn’t have made this statement, and multiple ufotable animators would not continue to list Genshin as their current project.

KrzyDankus2026-01-03 10:48

they probably wouldn't have had a big statue of Raiden or Shouki no Kami at Genshin FES in Shanghai if they were trying to move away from Japan.

Augustus30002026-01-03 11:13

Exactly. The stuff most affected by the tensions has been the display of Japanese-originating media in Japan and government-related cooperation on cultural projects. This is a Japanese-animated project under the close supervision of a Chinese company, likely focusing on a storyline that has heavy Chinese elements. And for these purposes, Hoyo is also a Singaporean company with a full complement of staff in Japan, some of whom are probably also helping locally on the project.

ngkrinkels2026-01-03 10:58

You do realize China and Japan tensions haven’t stopped private studios from working together for decades now, right? Minor slowdowns or adjustments, yes but business still continues.

Embarrassed_Draw23872026-01-03 09:39

I think it’s normal for Japanese studios to outsource Chinese animators.

ShoppingFuhrer2026-01-03 11:43

I think people will be surprised at how much of Japan's exports get outsourced from China.

An example being matcha, an ostensibly Japanese marketed product, is majority produced in China due to lack of suitable agricultural land in Japan given the worldwide demand for it at the moment. Although the Chinese market is also the largest consumer of matcha.

AlterWanabee2026-01-03 09:45

Imagine if we get the Genshin anime BEFORE GTA 6...

Xerxes4572026-01-03 10:54

Wouldn’t they announce it if it was coming out this year? Feel like they would announce more at anniversary but that’s much later this year.

AlterWanabee2026-01-03 10:55

Honestly depends on how far they have gone with the making. Considering that ufotable is quite busy with the next 2 Demon Slayer movies, there's a chance that it will come next year.

Educational_Fan56682026-01-03 14:38

Tbf I've never expected GTA6 to come out the year its realease was announced in any of their now multiple announcements.

CosmicStarlightEX2026-01-03 12:40

Or at the same time as DS:KNY Infinity Castle Part 2... I can see why they spaced two years for the last Demon Slayer movies to equalize quality on both that and Genshin anime.

>!Even more stupid thought, but Genshin on Switch 2 could happen the same time the Genshin anime goes live. How about it?!<

lizzywbu2026-01-03 23:59

I don't see any reason why Gensin can't/shouldn't be on Switch 2.

I think putting it on the original Switch was too ambitious. But it should work fine on the Switch 2.

CosmicStarlightEX2026-01-04 00:04

Compare the specs of the Switch 2 with the original Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Maybe it could help.

lizzywbu2026-01-04 00:05

The Switch 2 is roughly as powerful as a PS4 Pro. So it's weaker than current gen, but could run Genshin.

chiachengchun2026-01-04 01:56

But Genshin already move up and abandon PS4.

Stunning_Dealer_92112026-01-03 10:21

best thing is to just forget the anime exist and it will just pop out of nowhere when everyone has forgotten about it.

erwichvonstadt2026-01-03 10:54

Imagine they just publish it on YouTube on a random wednesday like they do interlude teasers. Teasers are like the one thing leakers have never been able predict.

After-Syrup12902026-01-03 14:44

Or like the time they decided to throw down the shades vid on a random day

FlameDragoon9332026-01-03 16:11

\> wakes up
\> make coffee
\> opens Youtube while waiting for water to boil
\> "oh Genshin posts a new update, probably the next character's trai-- THE ANIME?!"

Plus-Theme-32832026-01-03 13:25

I literally can't do it, there is no single moments in the game i don't go 'hmm imagine how cool it's well look at the anime "

Lign_Grant2026-01-03 11:03

Maybe the studio is working on a plot that could happen where "Part 1" ended. So we have to wait until then to avoid massive spoiler.

Practical-Dark-99162026-01-03 11:52

A. Is Ufotable still adapting it, or has the anime changed studios?

B. Why does Wanderer have a skirt on?

AmethystMoon4202026-01-03 12:36

Wanderer is wearing shorts lol

aiyafem2026-01-03 12:47

yes, ufotable still adapting it

Practical-Dark-99162026-01-03 12:49

Yay!!

Kksin-1910832026-01-03 12:08

In Chinese, in short he implied Genshin Anime is in progress and everything is on plan without accident.

Second part looks response to concern about recent China-Japan Tensions.

Plus-Theme-32832026-01-03 13:23

Well that's a relief even though am already know

darthtoon12026-01-03 20:55

We're not getting the anime anytime soon, ufotable is busy milking the Infinity Castle Arc for Demon Slayer with the movies until 2030 for Crunchyroll

Milan_Makes2026-01-03 21:23

Honestly really hype for this because I stopped playing a while ago (full quit a patch before Natlan) because the dialogue in-game is insufferably bloated but the underlying story tends to be pretty good

RaineMurasaki2026-01-04 15:24

It is good news they didn't cancel it due ongoing diplomatic crisis with Japan.

Meanwhile Star Tail....

Fabulous-Effort-67162026-01-26 23:44

Genshin Impact anime 2027 Whoever open their eyes first in the trailer would be the Abyss Sibling and the one who open their eyes last would be the Traveler. (Hint)
