Do you mean "main DPS"? Because having multiple "mains" sounds contradictory.

This template doesn’t imply that these characters are all my current mains. These are the characters that I have mained before.
Fischl was my first and favorite main. I mained Flins when he came out, only really playing his teams. Now I main Varesa and I plan on maining Nicole when she comes out in a couple months. That’s not really hard to grasp

That clears things up.
I don't understand "maining" any particular character as I like playing every character I pull for. For domains/leylines, I use a friendship team or the "optimal" team if everyone's already maxed. For endgame content, I also use the optimal team in Stygian. For abyss, I usually go for "gimmick" teams but I'll use optimal teams if I'm not in the mood to challenge myself.
I guess the closest to a "main" I have is Lumine since I use her solo in all story quests, permanent and events, unless combat gets too difficult in which case I add whoever's traveling with her if I have them, or just anyone who could support her if not.

That makes sense sometimes I play random teams just so I don’t let my characters rot. To me maining a character just means to use them almost everywhere for a long amount of time. Or just simply the main character you usually use idk why I’m yapping and making it complicated lol

Besides Lumine, Charlotte has also been with in all story quests in case I'm in a domain so I could take pictures using her skill. I don't switch to her in combat unless I really need the heals since I'm stubborn about immersion.
I guess I also main my exploration team then, and the one who's been in my exploration team the longest is Xianyun.
