Is it too late to make a no-wish account?
Hey there, I am more or less done with the game in my main account. I have been itching for a unique way to play the game. No wish account kinda strikes me as the most appealing as I never really built the starter roster.
However so many characters were given free in limited events, I feel like I missed too much for it. What do you guys think? I'd like to hear some opinions.

If you want to use many characters, pull.
If you just want a challenge, then why care the free characters given?
Second.. Depends on what the current enemies needs. Its usually either Lunar-bloom team or raiden overload.
Like she's impressive. You don't like her?
She's also too hot, like extremely hot lady
A crazy unit. Heals like a saint, hits like passenger ship
If you want to challenge yourself why not put that effort into having an account that actually full clears each cycle? Just seems abit odd personally.
There is a non-zero chance that I would clear the non-36 stars too, but they end up being too tedious for me to bother. Its not really my goal to do 36 in this no-wish account, instead just to see how far I can take them.
>"Because there is nothing to "put effort" into anymore?"
was a factually true statement.
my suspicion based on the fact you have issues with the easiest of the 3 endgame modes is that there very well may be things to work on still.
it might be builds, it might be rotations and how you play but given your other comments here about having a fairly well invested skirk as well as lunar team it doesnt sound like its your character roster, which is what you're blaming it on.
Personally atleast i think you should set your sights higher, dire f2p clears are absolutely possible and probably feel more rewarding to achieve than merely playing through the story on a no-wish account.
to be clear im not trying to be rude or mean or anything, im just saying i think you still have room to grow your main account, but if it doesn't interest you then of course, you do you :)
Right now, only thing I can do in the game is to wait for events and resin.
I am fine with sharing my enka, but I was simply confused why you would ask that when I am just looking for a discussion about no wish playthroughs.
Also you will have free 4 star liyue character selection in upcoming update and now you have limited free bow with good off-field stats (if you rush that event).

And then get a free 4-star character at Lantern Rite.
At least according to the wiki and one of my friends last week, I don't know about now tho, make an account and check it out.
All travalers who have completed registration and unlocked the Wish feature after the Version Luna II update should have this event.
Most of the good 4-stars you get are supports. They either buff, shield, heal, or help with elemental reactions. So you need to think about DPS.
Since you don't pull, this event might be the only 5-star you can ever get.
If you build Dehya right, she can't die; she will keep healing herself and become a force to be reckoned with.
Mizuki is a great whirl support.
Hex Razor is a good DPS as well.
I don't know much about 4-stars and their combat abilities...
I am thinking of Tighnari or Keqing. Though Mizuki does sound enticing aswell.
* Aino
* Amber
* Barbara
* Collei
* Kachina
* Kaeya
* Lisa
* Lynette
* Noelle
* Xiangling
So yeah, you definitely want a DPS for your 5-star selector...
Your shield is Noelle, heal is Barbara, you can wet with Aino and use Dehya for evaporate or something...
I love keqing but Tighnari might just be the better choice here. Hes definetly the stronger of two.
As the holder of a no-wish account i was finally able to get Sucrose. Missed out on getting the first Barbara and the first Fischl when I didn't understand the game. But then put in effort to be able to get Xingqiu at the first Lantern Rite.
Now with the Nod-Kai power creep deep end game is off-limits (I don't bother with Floor 12).
Also getting Noelle does require wishing on the beginner banner so depends on what rules you impose upon yourself.
You get starglitter from shop
You get free intertwined which youd never get if you've never wished. It'll make the teams stronger by default
Standard banner fates aren't worth alot holistically but you can snag some seriously good 4 star, 5 star weapons. I just started again recently and got a PJWS let alone getting an early Chevruese basically builds a team by itself.
Chev, Fischl and go from there.
Its legit impossible to clear endgame with just starter or free chars and no limitied and no wishing in general but there is a plausible scenario where this route it is. If you do strictly no wishing at all you actually harm the account rather than improve it via losing more important limited free pulls every month.
I just call it no the primogems challenge. Its either standard only or relaxed and use int fates you get over time but overall no primogems involved either method is definelty possible to 36 Star Abyss imho
A guy did a no wish account and got 500k primos..... his account would have been more dynamic if he used his standard and Int wishes for free because at some degree together it is self sufficient
In terms of being "too late" to start a no wish account, a standard banner only account would be more equivalent to a no wish account started earlier. Anyone with a couple of standard 5* characters given on the anniversaries would be getting their c1s now.
If you look at the weapons and characters given free so far, [1.0-6.0/Luna 1 compiled here](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/s/RibrqhKPMZ) you could at least pull on standard untill you had a comparable number of 4* & 5* items to those that have been given out.
Excluding permanently available characters and weapons and the constellation selector events, players have been given something like 20 4* event weapons, 23 4* characters & 3 5* characters without wishes being required.
I think this would be more fun whilst still being very challenging
