If she had a delusional that I would understand
Friends with every archon and arguably best friends with 2 of them.
She is always at the center of every major conflict.
Almost everyone likes her and whoever doesn't like her is a villain or at least morally gray.
So in essence, an Abyssal mimic-based skinwalker who chose to co-exist with humans instead of attacking them.
She meets Traveler and Paimon in Mondstadt after Dvalin was pacified, and befriended them. From then on, she'd occasionally appear in Archon quests to help out the Traveler.
There's only one major problem: I have no such talent as drawing. 😩
Personality: Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe a mix between Keqing, Kaeya and Childe's is a good description?
Job: Adventurer, but can take on some side jobs in music, writing and even some science when there are opportunities.
But apparently inside that Abyssal body lies not one soul, but two: a normal soul believing itself to be human, and desires to co-exist with humans. But behind it a powerful, sinister entity, ancient as the abyss itself, an existence that makes both gods and Sovereign dragons wary of it. It takes over the body when its life is in danger (like Hollow Ichigo in Bleach), but also sometimes whenever it desires so.
I cannot thresh out a full story of her yet, but here are some key events that I have thought up, following closely alongside the Traveler's own journey.
- The Dragonspine massacre: She got curious of Durin's beating heart when she found it during her exploration of Dragonspine. It corrupted her and she lost her mind, going on a rampage that killed most of the Fatui in the area, prompting the Knights of Favonius to battle and subdue her. This puts her on the Fatui's threat watchlist.
- Inazuma: Raiden Shogun tried to pursue Thoma and the unconscious Traveler when they escaped, but she, covered in a hooded coat, lunged at her and briefly crossed swords. She had to retreat when Thoma and the Traveler were far enough already, and as a parting gift, threw a pyro hypostasis core at the Shogun's face, exploding like a bomb that left burn damages on her body.
Later, Sangonomiya Kokomi suggested that she accompanies Traveler to investigate the Delusion factory. She also succumbs to the miasma released by Scaramouche. But this is where the sinister entity within first shows itself, quietly taking over her body and allowing Scaramouche to come closer, before suddenly slashing him across his body, showing a sinister grin while doing so (see hollow Ichigo vs. Byakuya as reference). This leaves an obvious scar across his chest that he will hold against her for a long time, even after he is reformed as Wanderer.
- Sumeru: During Nahida's second story quest, she and the Traveler coincidentally meet her after Apep shows itself to them behind a sandstorm. She also happened to catch a glimpse and hear the great dendro dragon. So she asked Nahida if she can come along and check the dragon out for herself.
After Nahida and the Traveler's conversation with the dragon, Apep sensed a third presence in their midst, which it demanded to show itself. She came out of the shadows, but someone else seems to be in possession of her body. She greets the great dragon and introduces herself, which causes Apep to raise its guard and speak in a more alert tone.
OC (possessed): "It has been a while, hasn't it, great verdant dragon? It's a pleasure of mine to meet you again after eons."
Apep: ”It is anything but a pleasure to have your wretched presence. Know your place, I can easily destroy you here inside my body, do not test me!"
OC (possessed): "Hoh, you have grown confident are you not? You are most welcome to try on your lonesome, when seven of you and your dragon king can barely keep me in check for all those eons. (points to Nahida) In fact, why don't you go ahead and consume this little god here, perhaps adding her power to yours might give you a slightly higher chance of defeating me?"
Hearing this confident provocation terrified Nahida, and the Traveler has to step in between her and the possessed OC to protect her. The sinister entity within retreated soon after, and outside the cave Nahida and the Traveler found OC unconscious.
Extra: She remembers the timeline before Scaramouche tampered with the Irminsul perfectly, so she was suprised to see him in Sumeru reformed, while Wanderer remembered the grudge for the gash she caused on his chest. But Nahida-mama stepped in just in time before a fight broke out and begged the two to talk it out.
Neuvillette: "Who goes there?!... Wait, aren't you Hotel DeBord's head chef Escoffier?"
Paimon: "Who's Escoffier? That's a friend from the Adventurer's Guild in Mondstadt... But..."
Traveler: "Yeah, it's not her either, it's the other one within that appeared back in Sumeru.
Neuvillette: ”Identify yourself! And tell me what you want!"
OC (possessed): Oh you know exactly who I am. I know my identity is carved into your being, dragon of water. No matter how many times you reincarnate, you shall always be aware of my existence.
Neuvillette: !!!!! (serious face)
OC (possessed): "But do not fret, for today I am merely here to greet thee for completing thy resurrection, O mighty dragon of water. We shall meet again some other time (turns around and disappears)
Neuvillette then asks the Traveler for everything he knows about this friend of his and the mysterious alter ego within.
Escoffier eventually crosses paths with OC as the rumors of her mysterious twin spreads across the city. She talks with her, and OC decides to share some truths about her that she deemed her original deserves to know about. Escoffier was cautious of her strange 'twin' at first, but little by little she becomes comfortable around her, eventually 'adopting' her as her younger twin sister. But OC was not spared from Escoffier's harsh instructions whenever they at the kitchen together.
Currently he hops around from bot to bot looking for a mek that can talk, and should I ever magically obtain the ability to draw I'll make him a custom body.
For now he's just a ghost hiding from Sandrone because he attacked Katherine and she's mad about it. On an unrelated note, Katherine is not Pneumousia powered, which is disappointing because that would have been an easy win for him.
