Lets just forget one of these 2 tortured a fontanian guy, ripped his tongue out and left his corpse at the judge's theatre, all because he destroyed some goofy ass mecha bird

leviathan-judicator2026-01-03 23:07
Yes because the character is only good written if it is plain and with no deep whatsoever. It should be evil evil evil eviling the most evil things of the entire evildom all over the evil place.
Whilyam2026-01-03 23:12
No, but Hoyo has a pattern of writing villains like that evil evil doing evil evil etc. And then, the patch they're playable, say "oh but that was because they were SO sad and there actually really cool and nice". Meanwhile Signora got killed for punting a twink.
leviathan-judicator2026-01-03 23:17
Bro what the op said was done to a guy who tried to kill us
gryphon_duke2026-01-03 23:03
1. that guy tried to *kill* us AND a melusine (new hydro sovereign would reaaaaally like that one) but we got out thanks to curve's sacrifice
2. his mind was broken, but he was still alive
3. in character, she *would* hurt more over a robot than a person 😭
fuck jenck bro
BidDaddyLei2026-01-03 23:13
This needs to be up voted. Now this doesn't redeem Sandrone's actions in anyway but Jenck fucking deserved it for his stupid actions.
Grouchy_Gap452026-01-03 23:17
But in the eyes of hoyo's writers, and Paimon seemingly, it does indeed redeem her.
IllustratorLast12812026-01-03 23:35
Honestly I really doubt paimon cares for the death of a guy who tried to kill her and 2 other people.
FurinaPlsMarryMe2026-01-03 23:49
Brother the Traveler literally killed an entire tribe, Childe, Arle and Nefer also did some bad things and Traveler just doesn't care unless they're a threat to him or his friends, he's not Superman

Have you asked Chard, who's by Aino's workshop, about Talochard yet?
bunny_the-2d_simp2026-01-04 07:24
PLEASE they are so cute
MyUsernameIsApollo2026-01-03 23:45
So glad others are realizing this, because Jenck was literally a beast. Again, not to excuse Sandrone, but we can’t ignore how Jenck was far from a saint himself.
TuneACan2026-01-03 23:59
Yeah. He also acted without his Harbringer leader's approval, basically going rogue while still using the Fatui's name and resources.
Now it kinda feels like he got off easy. Can't imagine Sandy would be this merciful towards Dottore.
IllustratorLast12812026-01-03 23:33
Oh yeah also curve's core is so advanced even aino couldn't fix it, my guy destroyed what was probably like decades worth of scientific progress.
HinaYukari2026-01-03 23:42
Is there an interaction from aino about curve?
IllustratorLast12812026-01-03 23:44
If you didn't catch it chard(from talochard) lombro(last name of creator was lombroso) is curve, the bot actually has a interaction of you bring talochard up to it.
CascaDEER2026-01-03 23:52
And it seems the fruit gang guys from Fontaine (Tricky Bulle Fruit, Ruthless Calla Lily) were the ones who smuggled the core somehow. I guess they already served their sentences, or this happenes before heading into jail
IllustratorLast12812026-01-04 00:01
The fruity order has 5 people and only two were caught(you can even find them in the fortress of meropide), if I'm not mistaken the three that weren't caught are the ones who stole the core here.
Hykarusis2026-01-04 00:05
5 operative, under the autorithy of a leader. There seem to be manny subaltern.
rW0HgFyxoJhYka2026-01-04 04:11
Incredible. People actually can read.
Now what if Aino and Sandrone TEAM UP and repair Chad Lombro
Cranesbill2026-01-03 23:36
And while we're at it
4. Sir Arthur wasn't destroyed, he was stolen and then disassembled
5. Sir Arthur is what kicked off the quest but not what pissed off Sandrone
So about 60% of the title is just factually incorrect
RagnarokAeon2026-01-04 00:33
Right?! She was just a lonely sentient robot who took an interest in another sentient robot (curve).

Yeah and the MC absolutely dont care about that kind of actions isnt it? To the point of Paimon and everyone else outright saying "She's such a nice person", especially when for some reason neither childe, nor even furina got that kind of treatment despite having done things way less horrible
Maleficent-Feed35662026-01-03 23:21

GGG1002026-01-03 23:31
Are you even paying attention? Those characters, with the exception of Furina, are literally trying to destroy the world. What the fuck is the Traveler supposed to do then? Just sit around and do nothing? You seem to have trouble grasping the concept of morally grey characters. Are you even old enough to play this game?

Ngl I legit forgot she was involved in that world quest until I saw this post
Cranesbill2026-01-03 23:21
To be fair, it's a very brief mention and very easy to forget. A single line "A Harbinger interested in machines...?" really isn't something most would remember for like 2 years
Dylangillian2026-01-03 23:40
Considering it was one of our only mentions of Sandrone, I always remembered it, and seems like plenty of others also did.
Helps that the imagery of the guy getting his tongue cut out also sticks with you.
Cranesbill2026-01-03 23:46
Fair. Might be just my own memory issues. I forget people's names 2 days after I've met them so there's little chance I'd have remembered that.
Main reason I actually remember this is because I'd already done the Nod-Krai quest before going to Fonatine, so I already knew Sandrone.
TommaClock2026-01-04 03:28
From all the shipping, I think there's 2 harbingers interested in machines in the picture.

Purifier1452026-01-04 01:56
Neuvillette calls him "the Formidable Father" which implies he created him at the very least if not all the Sovereigns in some way, and all of them appear at least still respectful to him if not flat out still loyal to him like Apep.
No_Strength50562026-01-04 02:04
Presumption aside, the Kulkulkan clearly states otherwise.
Kukulkan: In the beginning, the first Pyro Sovereign was birthed from the primal flame, here on the Sacred Mountain. Here, too, he shaped the Sacred City.
Kukulkan: He used the primal flame to mold and shape the Dragonborn, the first of which he gifted with an offshoot of that same fire...
Kukulkan: In the tales of the Dragonborn, that offshoot was part of a great soul.
("Little One"): And that was you?
Kukulkan: ...Indeed.
Nibelung himself was born from the planet so you’d need to work backwards on why he’d be necessary to give life to the sovereigns when the world is clearly capable of that on its own.
Purifier1452026-01-04 02:08
Yes I thought about that but it's possible that in turn Nibelung made the Primal Flame. As Ilmarinen, Nibelung's namesake in the Hymns of The Far North, is stated to have created fire in his mythology so in turn I wonder if Nibelung made the Primal Flame in which Xiuhcoatl emerged from.
Hymns also calls him "forger of the Earth's bones" so he definitely made more stuff than just the Moons, but what exactly is yet to be determined.

she's totally the kind of person to get brutal revenge for the things she cares about (case in point dottore)
leviathan-judicator2026-01-03 23:16
Everyone remembers that she did this to say "They retconned her!!!" but they don't remember that she did it AFTER the person in question tried to kill the Traveler, Paimon, and the random NPC who accompanied them on the mission, even leaving an apology letter for the three survivors. The quest even leaves us wondering if Sandrone did this because she didn't want to make the Traveler an enemy or if she was angry about what happened to Curve.
It's another case of people reading Tartaglia's and Wanderer's lines about a character and assuming this is their entire personality.
Grouchy_Gap452026-01-03 23:21
And absolutely no one confront that unhinged side of her? Punishing someone that way for a mere robot is just cruel, no matter how you see it.
leviathan-judicator2026-01-03 23:25
Yes, it's cruel. But it's not towards the Traveler. She literally threatens the Traveler as soon as he arrives in NodKrai, but throughout the missions they both share an interest; also the Traveler is world-renowned at this point. There's no reason for her to be mean and cruel to the Traveler of all people.
Grouchy_Gap452026-01-03 23:28
I am talking about traveler confronting that side of her: we were about to fight her at the end of act 1, after she trashtalked lauma for believing in a fake goddess, but you know, why have an interesting confrontation of two people opposite beliefs when we can just handwave that and fight wild hunt trash mobs. And she surrender the moon marrow at the end because???
Vitrio2026-01-03 23:43
Bc she realized she was being set up by Dottore. She literally says it.
TheGungnirGuy2026-01-04 00:24
She also knows we are trying to get rid of the Abyss using it. The Fatui doesn't want the Abyss around.
As an object, the moon marrow is worth some scientific study. In our hands, we used it to kick Rerirs pasty ass into the moon. Giving it to us was the smart choice, as the wild hunt needed to be dealt with in order for the Fatui to continue preparing to "Kill god", as pierro put it.
GGG1002026-01-03 23:25
Harbingers aren’t exactly the most moral people around. And the guy she did it deserved it for trying to kill us.
kingEdward222026-01-03 23:45
Yes exactly but the game tried to showcase as she's normal good person but just a tsudanre like paimon saying that was just not it
GGG1002026-01-03 23:51
Uh no? A character having endearing traits doesn’t automatically make them good people. I don’t understand why some fans think that things need to be presented in black and white all the time. You’re either a moustache-twirling villain, or the purest cinnamon roll who can’t hurt a fly.
kingEdward222026-01-03 23:56
Buddy its not the fans that try to make things black and white , its hoyo , hoyo didn't have plans for sandrone to be playable at fontaine so they made her like a villan , now that she will be playable , they would show her as a tragic misunderstood hero
CoconutxKitten2026-01-03 23:26
It wasn’t just a “mere robot”. It was a thinking, feeling robot. He also tried to murder traveler, Paimon, & the melusine
Moomin_12912026-01-04 00:13
Absolutely; you're spot on here. If it was indeed Sandrone who ordered the punishment (which isn't 100% certain, though likely), then as much as her actions shouldn't be condoned, I can see why she would've been so enraged. SHE is a machine; a sentient automation and as such she would've seen Curve as one of her kin. Not a thing to be discarded or disregarded; a person, like her. If Sandrone is cruel and angry with the world, maybe it is because she has been treated as an object herself.
Acts of violence and cruelty can't be justified, so I'm not saying that she's a 'nice' person, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be a great person to be around either if I'd never experienced love or kindness.
calkalisto2026-01-03 23:26
It's important to note that, the robot was semi sentient, also Jenck, the guy responsible, tried to murdered, Paimon, the traveler and a melusine. So, he is an attempted murderer, and was trying to forcefully take over the StreamBird. So it was far more then what you are thinking.
GiveMeAWaffleOrElse2026-01-03 23:28
Look at Pulonia and the other defense robots. They're robots to us but to her they're basically her children.
hoyoshill2026-01-03 23:57
Damn a robot, do you know why she cherishes robots more than humans, because unlike humans they will stay with them and never die of old, sandrone is a very lonely person inside. That's why she is scared of Columbina disappearing forever. Because she craves for a family a love from a real person, which she never gets after parting with Alain.
She is such a complex character, I don't think many people will understand her right now but will surely in one day. That's why l love her from among all the nodkrai cast.
Blanche_Cyan2026-01-04 00:03
1. Curve wasn't just "a mere robot" but one that had been able to develop actual self-awareness and humanity despite being crafted by a human with human techniques.
2. Sandrone is shown to care a lot of machines so Curve was even less of a mere thing for her.
3. Sandrone is implied, heavily and with zero subtlety, to be a robot herself and perhaps even the mysterious magnum opus of Alain Guillotine, while their creations are plenty different and despite their creators being not quite alike this would have made Curve the closest thing Sandrone had to someone of her own kind.
Scared-Ad-48462026-01-04 00:19
> And absolutely no one confront that unhinged side of her?
Literally for what or who wants to do that? Traveler or Paimon? They did as worse as her and saved by her. Lauma, Nefer, Varka, Albedo, or Durin? They don't know and what should they. Arle or Columbina, why should they.
babangelsin2026-01-03 23:35
"They deserved it" is not the justification you think it is for torture or ritualistic killing.
They didn't retcon her, but whoever is writing this stuff has their moral compass pointing in all directions when it comes to depict what is acceptable and what you can't sweep under a rug.
FurinaPlsMarryMe2026-01-03 23:59
We literally play a world quest where you have to kill an entire tribe, the traveler is NOT the moral superior hero people think he is, he doesn't need to justify anything to be friendly with Sandrone because she's not a threat to him or his friends, same with Childe and Arle.
Also do not try to frame the authors as some kind of psychos when they're just creating interesting, morally grey characters, this is fiction after all.
Scared-Ad-48462026-01-04 00:07
> is not the justification you think it is for torture or ritualistic killing.
Oh right, because every character has to be a morally perfect person.
kingEdward222026-01-03 23:43
And why would she cares about what he did to traveller and paimon at that point ?
Luster-Purge2026-01-03 23:57
"This person with an increasingly long list of heroic titles that the Fatui continuously doesn't have a rock solid plan of actually dealing with probably is somebody I don't want to piss off, especially since they're on good terms with The Knave."
She is very risk-averse from what we've seen of her behavior and mannerisms, to the point she'll drop whole objectives if the risk isn't worth the rewards, I.E. just handing over the moonstone thing (that the Fatui needed a traitor among the Scions to get) because of the Rerir nonsense and it was more a Dottore thing (who she hates) than her own interest.
erukami2026-01-04 01:10
People basing their view on a character from another character's line is way too common.
Had someone say Arlecchino is insane and that she would have killed the House of the Harth members if it weren't for the trio. Their opinion was based entirely on Wanderer's line about her. Completely ignored all the foreshadowing during her story quest and based everything on that one line. When I pointed out the foreshadowing they missed, their reply was essentially "I'm not arguing about this because the Wanderer's line proves you wrong". All the while forgetting how egotistical Wanderer is in all his lines, making him an unreliable source of information.
TheGreatBootOfEb2026-01-04 02:36
Wanderer the same damn dude who can’t event be honest about himself and they acting like he was the perfect bastion of totally not flawed commentary lol.
Nine9breaker2026-01-04 06:01
Not to mention Childe had a similar voice line, and there is literally a scene of Childe talking to Arlecchino and saying "my bad, I didn't understand your game before but now I do and you're actually cool".
Thus proving that playable character voice lines are fallible.
ErenYeager6002026-01-04 02:31
You act as if attempted murder is that big of a deal. Childe tried to kill us and were best friends now
Really trying to kill the Traveler is like saying hello
Ok_Tie_14282026-01-04 06:04
I don't think she gave a fuck about the traveller(maybe she just didn't want them to have a personal reasons to go after her), she probably was just omega pissed over curve.
Alex24222026-01-04 02:46
More like it's another case of Hoyo clearly intentionally baiting people with the idea of finally having someone potentially evil or antagonistic to us only to hand us a "Fell for it again" badge.

Haven't done the quest yet, but checking the wiki; seems like the guy involved "Jenck" is an attempted murderer, who tried to kill Paimon, the traveler, and a melusine, in order to become the editor-in-chief of the SteamBird. Guy seems like a jerk.
From the wiki:
" When the Maison Gardiennage took him in, they discovered his tongue was cut out and replaced by a brief apology note addressed to the Traveler, Paimon, and Talochard. Euphrasie surmises that it was left by Jenck's backer, who either did not want to make an enemy out of them or disapproved of Curve's destruction."
Not condoning her actions, but it seems more like "bad person does something bad to another bad person."
Link to the Jenck's wiki page: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Jenck#cite_note-Q&A-3
Impossible-Bison80552026-01-03 23:24
And actually keeps in line with her characterization of “I am not going to make the Traveler have personal reasons to come after me.”
Dylangillian2026-01-03 23:41
yeah, Sandrone might be a bit arrogant. But I am sure she's smart enough to know that won't end well for her.
Then again, she did go after Rerir a second time...
Impossible-Bison80552026-01-03 23:42
I mean, being smart does not mean immune to pride.
Yatsufusa_K92026-01-04 06:46
Also, Rerir was in the territory she was assigned to, the pride had to double down (and even if it didn't she still had to do something just from the responsibility of being assigned there).
Fontaine was a side-project. She thanked Arlecchino for the information on the recent events on the Narzissenkreuz Ordo (and Arle was only Harbinger for 10 years and alive for 27, so chances are the information she had and fed Sandrone were the recent ones during the WQ since Sandrone already knew Alain from hundreds of years ago anyway).
So Sandrone likely only has the barest of details of what happens in Fontaine at all (contrast Arlecchino, now it's hinted she's aware of at least 1 WQ we did in Fontaine which might as well be all of them now since we know how she does things from her AQ). Jenck just screwed up that big enough to get Sandrone's attention.
Mind you, this man attempted what Arlecchino didn't (and Dottore didn't either during Sumeru, although the upcoming patch the moon power might go to his head).
Sandrone at that point (Jenck screwing up) hasn't met the Traveler and only has Signora's fate as a point of reference (Sandrone's only one rank above, Arle's AQ likely hasn't happened and there's no telling if Sandrone knew what Dottore did in Sumeru). Her response was done on that assumption of the Traveler's "power" and "personality".
Heck, now that we know Tea Parties (and Sandrone visits HotH) are a thing, part of Arle's AQ might have been influenced by Sandrone (Arle likely knows of the whole Jenck incident from Sandrone herself, actually, given that she uses the Adventurer's Guild/Sandrone as her own extension of spying in Nod-Krai).
Apart_Routine27932026-01-04 02:09
She's got that Warlord's mindset, Prideful, Wrathful, but smart enough to not make enemies out of everyone she meet, and offense will meet punishment with extreme prejudice
She will deliver her fury or die trying
With Murderous display of Wrathful Mutilation to match
Iffem2026-01-04 03:05
And her characterization of "I love fellow robots more than humans" so the destruction of Curve was straight up murder in her eyes

This entire post is basically OP misremembering some shit, making a big deal out of it, and then everyone dogpiling or correcting what actually happened.
And I approve since we dont get lore discussions often and often it needs to be disguised as a quip of a quirky funny harbinger woman.

i think ive done some of the big ones, do you know which specific area is this quest triggered from?
IllustratorLast12812026-01-03 23:40
Questioning melusine and answering machine, the guy in question tried to kill the traveller, paimon and a melusine, almost succeeded and was only stopped because the robot decided to sacrifice itself to save us, the robot's was later retrieved by the fatui and then stolen and now resides in chard lombro(the aino reputation area quest featured it).

BillysTown2026-01-03 23:26
You forgot that she also said : “Just because Nod Krai lacks a ruler at present, that does not mean it should not be ruled. We Fatui are simply… establishing a new order.”
BillysTown2026-01-03 23:39
And those Fatui at the start of Nod Krai when they were messing with the Frostmoon Scions for the Moon Fragment punishing that dude is meh but there’s other reasons she’s not just some normal morally good Fatui member.
BQ722026-01-03 23:29
Yeah yeah, and our new resident catgirl is the head of a continent-wide organization specializing espionage and assassination, which she is happy to personally participate in. Somewhere not far from where this picture was taken, being silly with her subordinate, is a woman who personally orchestrated the mutual slaughter of two entire desert tribes. Let's not talk about the guy in the hat brooding in the corner off screen, the list is too long. Or the alchemist who toys with the laws of life, multiple counts of fratricide, etc etc...
Marros60452026-01-03 23:36

Oh, here we go again.
Genshin suddenly has moral boundaries? Cute. Let’s review.
Ei — an infantile brat who literally tortured her own people and started a civil war. Totally fine.
Scaramouche — her “son,” a charming little sociopath who matches her cruelty step for step. Also fine.
Tartaglia — the guy who looked at tens of thousands of innocent people, including children, and thought “meh, why not genocide?” Still somehow beloved.
These three are actual monsters, yet the fandom happily ignores every single atrocity they committed because, apparently, anime aesthetics > literally everything else.
And then we have Sandrone, who cuts out the tongue of one jerk named Jenk… and suddenly everyone acts like it’s the end of the world.
That’s the hill we’re dying on? In a game full of genocidal maniacs, that is what breaks the fandom’s moral compass. Absolutely hilarious)
layzthecat2026-01-03 23:40
lol, calling ei "cruel" is funny because shes did all the thing in the archon quest with a "Do I know you?" attitude
CortexArt252026-01-03 23:32
Forget it, you can't take Genshin story seriously. Any playable character will be sanitized, redeemed and become friends with the Traveler.
Luster-Purge2026-01-04 00:10
Not with Wanderer. Only his act got cleaned up and a universal memory retcon enacted to justify people not actively perusing him for his crimes, which just got rewritten in-universe to cover the hole he left in Irmansul - except his own because Nahida made a backup, she knew what he was going to try and even his own amnesiac self insisted that he couldn't be allowed to exist without knowing what he'd done. And I wouldn't necessarily call him 'friends' with the Traveler so much as a work aquaintance - he's FAR more friendlier with Durin, because Durin is also an artificial construct *but* wasn't manipulated into being a murderous bastard, and Wanderer is working to keep him from becoming that kind of monster since current Durin is OG Durin powered.
ShikikanSpineal2026-01-03 23:34
Well , if she didn't do ... I certainly would have. He did try to kill us . Just because he didn't get what he want, he decided nobody should have.
Erulogos2026-01-04 02:05
Yeah, people forget that it was a world quest, and WQ Traveler doesn't play. At best, Jenck would've gotten a quick death rather than a mutilated life of PTSD.

Last I checked, that Fontainian was a deplorable asshole who literally destroyed the one mech she was interested in. And for what, to oust Euphrasie and be its head?
Heck, after what happened in Nod-Krai (that time she actually recovered Curve's core only to get robbed by Treasure Hoarders) I wouldn't be surprised if she kidnapped Jenck to go full Dottore on him.

People saying OP is trying to whitewash Jenck, but how about the time where she sent an elite fatui hit squad on a side quest to swipe Ineffa's access to ancient Natlan ruins, with or without her consent.
There's a reason why Lauma keeps avoiding interacting with the fatui throughout the AQ unless necessary, being a girlfailure doesn't absolve Sandrone of her past records lol.
Ktan_Dantaktee2026-01-04 00:06
Yeah but he sucked so it’s fine
Columbina/Sandrone/Arlecchino can murder and dismember all the serial killers and child rapists they want. That’s what makes them antivillains.
Also gets funnier with every Harbinger we encounter, as they’re almost never actually evil. Dottore is just a freak like that.
Grouchy_Gap452026-01-04 00:51
Yeah so the Tsaritsa will be the same isnt it, despite having caused havoc and chaos all over teyvat and being responsible of 11 of the most unhinged and bizarre people in teyvat. We will find ourselves dating her to find the love she lost because the plot wants it. Yay...🙄
CuteMayhem2026-01-04 00:07
Yes
NextLifeAsACat2026-01-04 00:07
First, Columbina has nothing to do with this. As for Sandrone, it’s possible that the Traveler (and especially Paimon) did not realize the connection and that it was Sandrone at the time. Even if it seems obvious to us, many things happened to the Traveler in the meantime, and we didn’t know Sandrone back then. Also:
\-Sandrone is likely a robot and is connected to Alain Guillotin, so the value of that robot to her was clearly different than the value a normal person would give it.
\-If the robot was Ineffa, would you think the same, “just a robot”?
\-Many other characters in Genshin are not good people (the other Harbingers, the Fontaine mafia, the Inazuma ninja, the House of the Hearth, Yelan, Raiden, etc.). What is different for Sandrone in particular?
\-The Traveler isn’t a saint either. They’ve killed or let people die before. In some quests we also see that they do not really want to be involved or be a hero or savior, but end up acting to help specific people rather than following some higher moral ideal. They probably care less than we may think.
As for the fandom, everyone can like or dislike whoever they want (so you can dislike them), even villains and morally gray characters. They are not real, and liking them does not excuse what they did.
nolxve_exe2026-01-04 00:12

Thesaurus_Rex95132026-01-04 00:21
She tortured and removed the tongue of, but did not kill, that Fontainian guy, because he caused Curve, a mecha who was both a foolproof lie detector _and apparently sapient enough to modify his own programming,_ to be destroyed.
The bird was largely collateral, and was also easily repaired.

Alex24222026-01-04 00:38
Oh, isn't it funny that *somehow* all such brutal and scary stuff is at most just mentioned or implied, while what we actually get to watch on-screen is Sandrone wearing cute cat ears, playing games with Comulbina and being tsundere?
Master06432026-01-04 00:46
Columbina would never do such a thing... Not on screen
thwrlsgenshin2026-01-04 00:47
Sandrone did nothing wrong.
GraveXNull2026-01-04 00:48
This is one part of the story telling I hate the most...
Genshin at first tried to present the Harbingers as these serious threats that need to be dreaded...and in the end almost all who haven't been tossed aside were turned into absolute jokes...
_Chernysh2026-01-04 00:49
I would like Sandrone to remain more menacing. She greets us very coldly in Nod-Krai, and in that scene she acted just as I imagined her to be, based on Curve quest etc etc. But then she turns to a tsundere, and in last AQ she becomes goofy and adorable. That was fun, but a bit weird for me
nyxsiren72026-01-04 00:51
She also tried to colonize Nod Krai, she's only on our side because she likes Columbina.
Yani-Madara2026-01-04 01:03
The quest established that mecha was sentient / alive. This is like saying Ineffa and Karkata are just some robots...

Nuvi would have waterbended the life out of that asshole if the Melusine got harmed or even worse, killed in that quest.
The robot guard was also very close to becoming truly sentient, on a level very similar to Svarog from HSR. So destroying it was such an unforgivable thing to do for someone like Sandrone, especially when the dude was doing all that shit behind her back and without permission.
The moron deserved everything that happened to him.
Wild_ColaPenguin2026-01-04 02:30
Definitely Sandrone and I'm still waiting to see that side of her, which still hasn't appeared yet or Hoyo completely forget about it.

God forbit a girl does anything i guess.
Gregamonster2026-01-04 03:34
It wasn't over the bird, it was over Curve.
The bird is just a speaker in a fancy shell. Curve was a whole ass person. Who was brutally murdered for no reason at all, and getting revenge for his death was wholly justified.
koifish_pro2026-01-04 03:34
So what do you think Arlecchino and her children's daily routine is like in a spy/assassin organization? Performing circus acts?
tanama_2026-01-04 03:44
Mind you Jenck was an asshole who deserved all of that
pumaflex_2026-01-04 04:08
The amount of people here trying to defend this is surprising
Commentaires
2. his mind was broken, but he was still alive
3. in character, she *would* hurt more over a robot than a person 😭
fuck jenck bro
WHY DID I SOB FOR A ROBOT PLEASE RIP CURVE 🥹
Now it kinda feels like he got off easy. Can't imagine Sandy would be this merciful towards Dottore.
Now what if Aino and Sandrone TEAM UP and repair Chad Lombro
4. Sir Arthur wasn't destroyed, he was stolen and then disassembled
5. Sir Arthur is what kicked off the quest but not what pissed off Sandrone
So about 60% of the title is just factually incorrect
Like, yeah, you would be in the wrong if ask someone to kidnap an idol for you to meet, but we really shouldn't be mourning the guy who got messed up after killing said idol. Guy got off lucky after what he did.
He only lost his tongue not his life.
Maybe he was just a asshole!
I've probably wanted to do that if you did that to my plushes just saying 😂😂
Also, the guy tried committing murder, why y’all pretending like all he did was fuck with a machine?
Helps that the imagery of the guy getting his tongue cut out also sticks with you.
Main reason I actually remember this is because I'd already done the Nod-Krai quest before going to Fonatine, so I already knew Sandrone.
Cause if not that’s at least a 66.6% failure rate.
Hymns also calls him "forger of the Earth's bones" so he definitely made more stuff than just the Moons, but what exactly is yet to be determined.
ALL HAIL THE GREAT DRAGON KING.
It's another case of people reading Tartaglia's and Wanderer's lines about a character and assuming this is their entire personality.
Acts of violence and cruelty can't be justified, so I'm not saying that she's a 'nice' person, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be a great person to be around either if I'd never experienced love or kindness.
She is such a complex character, I don't think many people will understand her right now but will surely in one day. That's why l love her from among all the nodkrai cast.
Literally for what or who wants to do that? Traveler or Paimon? They did as worse as her and saved by her. Lauma, Nefer, Varka, Albedo, or Durin? They don't know and what should they. Arle or Columbina, why should they.
They didn't retcon her, but whoever is writing this stuff has their moral compass pointing in all directions when it comes to depict what is acceptable and what you can't sweep under a rug.
Also do not try to frame the authors as some kind of psychos when they're just creating interesting, morally grey characters, this is fiction after all.
Oh right, because every character has to be a morally perfect person.
Thus proving that playable character voice lines are fallible.
Really trying to kill the Traveler is like saying hello
From the wiki:
" When the Maison Gardiennage took him in, they discovered his tongue was cut out and replaced by a brief apology note addressed to the Traveler, Paimon, and Talochard. Euphrasie surmises that it was left by Jenck's backer, who either did not want to make an enemy out of them or disapproved of Curve's destruction."
Not condoning her actions, but it seems more like "bad person does something bad to another bad person."
Link to the Jenck's wiki page: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Jenck#cite_note-Q&A-3
Then again, she did go after Rerir a second time...
She will deliver her fury or die trying
With Murderous display of Wrathful Mutilation to match
And I approve since we dont get lore discussions often and often it needs to be disguised as a quip of a quirky funny harbinger woman.
