Neuvillette in Stygian

To people who have Neuvi C0, has he been useful for you in Stygian Onslaught so far?

I'm considering if I should pull for him or not. I have all of his supports (Furina, Xilonen, Kazuha, Escoffier, Ineffa, Lauma, Durin), and I think he could be worth pulling in my account because I generally struggle with hydro checks.

Btw I'm already definitely getting Columbina, so no need to advise me to do that hahaha. This is purely about Neuvillette, and if I should pull him or save.

You wont regret having him. He is consistently very used in abyss and stygian. Even when hydro is disadvantegous. He is very flexible, has great aoe and the playstyle is easy against many enemies.

You think other character dont have cons? Also his c1 isnt even a guaranteed upgrade unlike the others, its some form of protection(which does nothing if u have a shield) and the 3rd stack plenty if times is gotten by utilizing the enemies' element.

Its not really a comfort increase when u are playing shielders like ineffa or u just attack far from danger. And no u arent getting that stack much faster if uts furina that is procing the hyrdo reaction with the enemy.

Now compare that to how disgusting recent cons of 5stars have been.

The hydro res, furina's buff and neuvi accumulating furina's stacks fast more than makes up for the dmg loss ofr neuvi's 3rd stack(assuming enemy doesnt have an element). His bis teams always have had furina with both at c0.

Yes, he's still useful in Stygian. I think his current Dire userate is around 30%. Though he's starting to get old. His best 6.3 team will be: Columbina+Ineffa+Lauma which is just one massive wheelchair. But it will be a 122k team so that's not bad. The 6.2 one with Furina is 113k. Getting C1R1 would definitely help. But if you are looking for a Hydro DPS then Mualani can reach around 120k without hogging all the Nod-Krai units.

There are multiple calc sources, I like to use the one complied by Jello Impact since he bases his on a few credible creators (The Genshin Scientist, Flip and Zajef77) and updates in regularly. And if something happens to be wrong it's corrected fast.

A C0 Neuv should be good enough for Menacing. For Fearless you'll need good teammates, good artifacts and decently shilled enemy

He's been very borderline for me on Fearless at C0 but built at top 0.355% on Akasha. Noticeably weak in the meta in terms of how much damage he puts out.

1st Stygian: No appropriate bosses, not his fault

2nd Stygian: Tried a bunch and failed with him against the Pipilpan Idol. Just couldn't deal enough damage with him without Ineffa. Lots of people managed to beat it with him and Ineffa as I recall.

3rd Stygian: Tried a lot and failed with him against the Fatui Shock Trooper. Just couldn't get enough damage out of him, plus at C0 couldn't keep him from getting interrupted and losing DPS to the random lightning strikes. Again, I think people who had Ineffa succeeded here. Used him in a dual-carry freeze team to successfully beat the Aeonblight Drake that needs dual carries.

4th Stygian: Tried and failed with him against Frostnight Herra as well as Lightkeeper. Tried to cheese the Frost Operative with him standing atop Geo Traveler's constructs and couldn't do enough damage even with the Frost Operative not fighting back.

5th Stygian: No appropriate bosses.

I cleared only till menacing with him, and that was still very hard (But again I probably played him wrong so you shouldn't take my word for it)

No. I have C1R1 and can really manage to clear Fearless using him, but I am punishing myself at that point instead of just using skirk, mav, flins or nefer. Next stygian, there is a boss that is shilling him, but it is really not that restricting, just Furina plus any hydro catalyst can do the work to put out its shield,

I used him only twice in 5 Stygians (fearless): 2nd Stygian against the cactus boss, 3rd Stygian against the Aeonblight Drake that required two elements. He was useful, but not decisive.

Hmm I see. I remember specifically for those two bosses, I thought "It would be nice to have Neuvi," because my Clorinde-Ineffa team was struggling a bit against the cactus and I wanted to do the Neuvi-Skirk freeze team against the Drake. I still managed to clear both (Fearless) in the end though.

My C0R5 sac jade Neuv has been able to clear Fearless consistently with Neuv Hyperbloom, but they are close clears that require a lot of resetting.

He’s a better pick for IT and SA than Dire, since his strengths are his AoE and self sustain.

I honestly don’t think C0 is all that strong now, I think for him to be “Dire viable” you need at least R1 or C1 (C1 lets him run double Hydro, R1 helps his ER significantly). There are still stages where he can clear Dire like the cactus in 5.8 and Aeonblight with Skirk in 6.0, but he can’t really brute force any of the bosses with his damage alone.

Awful in Stygian Dire, his DPS is badly designed for bosses with different phases and extremely high single target HP. Great for casuals to clear Abyss, just not for SO 5-6 where Mualani is generally better.

C0 is fine, just stand max distance from the boss so less chance of getting interrupted or have a shielder.

My C0R1 can clear up to fearless but not dire. I just cleared this Stygian with him on The Baptist boss. It was kinda of a situation where I was not able to clear without him but would probably not be able to do it without good supports.

That said, I will be pulling for him C1, he still clears Abyss without any problems and so far was valuable to Stygian even not being able to clear Dire.
