People who play the game for the fun of combat, what do you do when there is no new end game content?

Stock up on enemy mats and ingredients + other small stuff.

Leave the game and play or do other things until there is something to do.

Also in the past i did some co op to meet people and mess around.

These days you can play miliastra as well if you like it.

Gather materials I need for the future and do any events and such I haven’t. When Nod Krai dropped (and Natlan) everyday I’d go around the map farming ores, plants, and enemy materials because I know new characters need them. I’m at a point now that I have well over a thousand of the Nod Krai mats so when new characters come (like Durin and Bina), I don’t have to collect those. I can prefarm the other stuff.

Then I log off if I don’t feel like messing around in IT, Abyss or TCG.

Play other Hoyo games, after all this is what they want you to do when you reach end game :P

If you are new player that reach just recently end-game i would stack boss/book and all that materials needed to level up future characters,

even if you do not plan to pull new characters is always good having a stack of them , you never know when a new character you want will need them.

Play identity V and stress myself because everyone wants to save someone

Or play wuwa.

Even play league with friends or TFT

I usually play something else, right now it's Gran Turismo 7 and replaying Mass Effect 1-3. I play on PS5 so it's not anything to switch back and forth.

I still log into Genshin to do dailies, collect ores/crystal flies, and farm artifacts everyday. I don't spend more than 15 minutes of actual gameplay most days. I'll do Abyss or SO with different characters if I really want to play when there's nothing new to do.

I play other games or have IRL obligations. There's no point being a 1-game person.

It's somewhat similar to watching anime. Watching a single weekly release anime would hardly satisfy me. I could watch multiples, binge an already completed series or watch something else.

I used to do the Abyss over and over, trying to damage max, but SO is the new thing. And its *just* out of reach to do anything noteworthy with so, I just do up to level 5, *maybe* 6, and call it a day.

Idk its just kinda boring period tbh

Kinda sucks being way too overpowered for Abyss and lvl 5, but lvl 6 usually being out of reach.

Stare at my long list of unfinished world quests and then think...ah, maybe tomorrow.

Play something else, resets are like mini events for me and my friend, we go on discord and watch each other malding at the endgame until we clear it and... Thats enough for me

When Im really hyped to play a character I just go co op and fight random domains, thats how I usually meet useful whale friends that are willing to help my IT runs :)

Play other games, mostly single player focused. Currently doing a Mega Man X marathon and planning on starting Zero/ZX and Battle Network soon.

I usually fire up one of the many Resident Evils until a new patch drops.

I like to play with teams that aren't meta and use a lot of normal attacks, they each have such personality in the way they do their attacks! Normally I never see them (or just a few characters like Arlecchino) during dry periods. I'll collect mats or artifacts.

I either play on my alts, farm stuff in overworld, binge abyss or try to improve my onslaught clears

Daily resin farm. And I play wuwa and hsr as well. Nothing wrong about playing games other than hoyo ones.

Don't be like most gacha gamers who hate on other games and afraid of trying other games.

I play for all of it.

But I've done everything. So when there isnt a new quest or event. I log in, condense resin, use my encounter pts to claim dailies, farm artifacts, log out and go play other things until tomorrow.

Genshin and gacha games arent meant to be games you play for hours every day.

Live my life , there are plenty things to do besides playing GI , basically log in , farm to build characters , log out

I'm so behind on lots of world/story quests, exploration, upgrading the statues/trees, etc., since end of Inazuma/start of Sumeru. (I actually just finished the damn long Aranara quest over the winter break.) Also building 4-star characters mainly for IT - with Kaeya, Rosaria, Chev lately. So I got lots to do or catching up (if I'm not procrastinating lol).

But for now, my "project" is to build Traveler - I used to only have complete cons for anemo & geo (I like and main geo traveler previously). I recently completed the pyro cons these last 2-3 months. I'm now completing dendro (2 more cons), hydro (also 2 cons), and electro (1 last cons).

They are the ones crying in social media about how the game is dead

Other than spending resin, If I'm missing mora and/or artifact exp, I can go kill a few elite mobs or do an artifact route. I can also kill a couple of local legends for the materials or to test my teams. From time to time I go over achievements and try to complete some of them.

I can also scroll through reddit or watch other people complete endgame on streams

I play steam games. I love genshin combat and have explored 100% all areas.


Won't touch another gacha tho. I'd rather go hard on one and then enjoy other games. 

Stack then come back when the patch hits. I log in for a few minutes and that’s it.

I tend to do co-op weekly bosses for fun.

Other than that, when I’ve hit the content wall, I log in and do my dailies/weeklies/monthlies if applicable, decide what to do with my resin for the day, contribute as much of the materials as I can to the character I’m building, and log off at Varesa’s ranch - it has grainfruit and cachuatl, and right now saurus crackers, which uses those, are my main go-to healing food. Also I collect the red berry mushrooms which are only found there.

Dailies include my teapot. I collect friendship exp and use the bitcoi- realm currency to buy whatever from the realm depot and harvest crops and replant seeds if they are ready.

And miliastra I guess. But I’ve maxed the BP for it this patch so I’ve been ignoring it.

i just do my dailies. I don't play combat all day.

But sometimes I do an elite run that takes about 45 mins where I go around the world and kill elites that give 600 mora and a chance at 3-4 star artifacts.

Well I follow leaks so I farm mats and artifacts in advance for future characters I'm planning to pull (Mats that are readily available). That would take up all available resin until the characters actually drop. In between, I go farm artifact investigation spots. I have 2 routes each of which consists of ~120 spots which nest me around 73k of experience daily. People call that resinless behavior but so far I have ~2300 sanctifying essence and ~1100 sanctifying unctions which will be used for artifact min-maxing without worrying about running out of resources. I'm just woefully short on mora and I dunno how to effectively earn more without using resin for leylines. Unless I go hunt elite enemies which would truly be the epitome of resinless behavior. Oh and go mining for crystals every 3 days because I'm stupidly low on weapon ores as well. I don't have a single uncompleted content left including achievements.
