What did I miss in the last two years? Any major changes?

I played every day since launch up until a couple of years ago when my pc decided to betray me and shortly after my health too. Feeling a bit better I'm planning on downloading all 45gb on my phone tonight. I remember pretty well the basics of the game but I don't remember much were I left it besides being surely in Sumeru. I'd assume there are a few new "regions" but the rest is always the same, am I wrong? Thank you all in advance

Thats pretty much it. You're missing some stories and a lot of qol changes. Also your teams are probably going to need some polishing.

I quit around the same time too and came back recently. Nothing changed that much besides new characters new powerhouses and new regions and new quests that are piled up 😓. It’s more fun if you figure it out and explore unless you’re curious about the lore

A lot of new QoL (including new endgame modes), but the basic game is still the same, yes.

More endgame P2W, some minor tweaks to make some random systems marginally more consistent.

It's fundamentally the same game.

If your last was Sumeru then:

\-You missed a great region with a great story that has a shitty middle part. Ending was great. Characters were good.

\-Then you missed a meh region where the story was average at best and the characters stick out like sore thumb and don't look like they belong in the region at all. The characters are very strong when you use them, but they don't look like they belong at all.

\-Then you get to the current region. The story gets better. NPC's look better but the effort they put in the game goes down. Since there are new reactions I can't really tell how better characters are compared to previous regions.
