The event includes almost every character up till Sumeru what do you mean “if you didn’t play early” they have all gotten reruns and you just choose to not pull them. I’ll give you a few of them haven’t had a banner in two years but that’s just a hand full of the total characters.

Shenhe was the only one with a banner last year, and she's obviously a shitty pull if you don't have a dedicated cryo dps. Yae Miko, Itto, Xiao all reran last in the first quarter of 2024. Even if you started in January 2024, you'd most likely have pulled none of them. Pulling Inazuma characters as a newby is always discouraged because Inazuma is locked until the Archon quest gets you there, so no material farming until then.

Only Nilou, Wanderer, Baizhu and Hutao reran later (May-October) in 2024. So you could have been playing for more than a year without having seen any of their banners and frankly, some of them are just not that good and have plenty of alternatives. Why get Hutao when there are so many Pyro DPS characters to choose from (and a lot of them are better than her as of now.

for me, his story failed to interest me in his character, maybe because I didn't play Simulanka, dragonspine event, Albedo story quest and Scara story quest.

However, it is up to personal taste. I didn't really find his character design appealing and I disliked the "one side cute other side edgy" trope. Kinich is my type of twink. He checks all the boxes for PAT\_ball5230's ideal twink. PAT\_ball5230 is his faithful loyal C6R5 husband

I quite like the serious/soft trope (as long as it's not aggressive tsundere). So he fits really well with my wanderer (they're adorable together, I love found family troupes). I do believe simulanka would've made a lot of players love Durin more, but it was limited which is awful!!!! Durin feels more like a son to me after everything overall, but without simulanka's context, he feels out of place imo

But it's 7 wishes taken from 5 star counter. You want to get 3 different 4 stars? That would be 102 starglitter, which is 20 pulls. Pulls that **could be used** for pity. That's **a lot**.

That's generally why I find using starglitter to get 4 star characters not worth it. It takes my 7 pulls from pity. But if there was better variety and I really wanted some characters... that would be a different thing.

I would settle for a similar system to the weapon banner for 4*s. Where you pick one of the on banner 4*s (or maybe just a selector of all the 4*s), and when you win the 4* 50/50 for rate up characters, if its not the one you selected, then the next time you would get an on banner 4* its guaranteed to be your chosen one.

This way, hoyo still gets the gacha system to incentive spending, you still get characters you arent wanting now but may come to want or need later, and you get the 4* you really want every 40(or less) wishes. So instead of so many stories of spending 160 wishes and only getting one copy of a wanted 4*, you'd have them at C3 at the least.

For a start it would be nice to have a full rotation of 4* roster choices throughout the year or at least let us choose from all of them on anniversary. That Liyue favouritism was annoying from the get go.

Next best I would appreciate is them updating the starglitter shop, although many people don’t value it as much, I think 7 pulls is easily worth it for some of them and it’s at least a choice for the worst cases.

The best would be simple epitomised path tho, every like 3, 5 or even 10 4 stars … anything more than the current system at this point.
