Is it too late to try Luna reactions?

So yeah, maybe Luna reactions aren’t that bad after all but I’m still unsure whether they’re worth investing in for me. Even if I pull Columbina, she’d still need other Luna characters to function properly, and I’ve been saving a lot for Snezhnaya. I really don’t want to mess that up before even getting there.

Luna reactions feel strong right now mainly because they’re new. They’re good, sure, but once the hype settles, they probably won’t look as impressive as they do at the moment. I was originally saving for Mavuika and planning to keep saving for Snezhnaya, so going all-in on a new system that it’s already half way feels risky.

And honestly, after all that saving, if the Cryo Archon ends up being a straight-up Bronya copy from HSR, I’d be beyond disappointed.

Also sorry if I was asking a lot of things around here Im just trying to make sure of stuff

Columbina turns all possible reactions into Lunar reaction by being in the team. She will shine in Nerfer+Lauma or Flins+Ineffa.

Ultimately it comes down to what you want really. If you do pull her, how will you use her in your existing team or do you have any means to make use of her?

I realistically have two options. The first is Nefer, but I only have her—and even that was an accident. I unintentionally did a 10-pull and got an early five-star.

The second option is Alhaitham, but that’s still questionable since I have Furina C1R1 and no Luama. That’s why I’m even asking about this in the first place. I didn’t start when Luna reactions were introduced, so my only Luna investment right now is Nefer.

If Luna reactions end up requiring heavy investment, I’m genuinely fine with waiting until Snezhnaya. Honestly, part of my frustration was that the Luna versions pushed Snezhnaya back in the first place, but now I realized it’s not bad i can keep saving to straight up buy snezhnaya all together .

Defo skip Alhaitham. He was okay when released but if you want him to be strong you need heavy investment and other characters as support.

The most important question is do you want Columbina, what I mean is if you didn't have her will you feel regret? If not then skip her.

I have a middle investment level for alhaitham i main him (top3% btw) I got his sword furinaC1R1 and got nahida i was planning to get nahidaC2r1 and furinaC2 but Luna fucked with my sitting and I started doubting it I regret it now but that fine it’s what it’s

As for columbina I don’t hate her but I don’t like her I probably wouldn’t regret it since all she does is buff Luna and I don’t have Luna investment to regret not pulling her so short answer yeah I won’t regret it

Lunar reactions aren't good because they're lunar reactions.

Lunar reactions are good because the dedicated 5\* supports amp them up massively with their kits.

Columbina is a general Lunar support, and amps up all of the other reactions, but because she's a generalist, she doesn't amp up any individual reaction more than the specialist buffer.

There's a reason the wheelchair comp is Columbina+Ineffa, and not "just Columbina".

If all you have is solo Columbina, then you're better off running another hydro sub DPS that actually synergizes with the team.

We're only halfway through the 6.x patch, with most likely more Lunar units being released in the future, how could you be "late to try" them?

It’s half way and Im saving for snezhnaya imagine how much catching up I have to do also usually the first versions character are the base that is used for the mechanics best example is how Luna reactions need Luama and Ineffa so it’s more like I have a lot to catch up to and I don’t want to wast my savings on random characters that I may use for only half a patch

columbina will still be very good even on teams without other lunar/moonsign characters as she enables all lunar

reactions available right now and that list will only grow as more are made available, also the fact that the current

lunar reactions can crit unlike their standard counterparts makes them very good as they can benefit from

characters crit damage

Funny you mention that since the fact that elemental reaction can crit was the thing that made me skip Luna at first I didn’t think it’s overpowered but I love Genshin because the elemental reaction and have the elemental reaction turn into another crit based mechanics wasn’t the best thing ever

As for columbina her value won’t change we can make sure of that but she’s no furina her value is limited to Luna reaction the reactions are not bad but they are way more buffed then what they really are the game is bending in Luna favor for now

having a higher base floor is still a benefit for damage i think and while it would limit team building if

there's another nod krai character in the team she does provide an extra buff to non lunar character.

she's a very versatile team member even if you don't have other lunar characters for anything the benefits from lunar reactions though she will most definitely fall off once the devs move away from lunar reactions, snezhnaya is still far off so if players want to just get her i don't see it hurting too much

personally, I will be pulling for columbina and ineffa, and soon when lauma reruns. So that my acc have some characters for Lunar reactions in spiral abyss, SO or IT, but mostly I'm pulling them because I like them. But it comes down to what you want really. Having columbina only already unlocks the current lunar reactions even without the others. Ofcourse she will shine if paired with other nodkrai characters.

The Lunar teams all currently deal top tier damage even ignoring shilling gimmicks, and you can probably expect another couple of patches of lunar shilling anyways.

I guess so but how much since let be honest everyone knows that after a this patch is done the only reason anyone will come back to Luna reaction is because it has his favorite character this is how it’s usually happens so considering the little time I got left will it be worth it

You should never pull for *just* meta, because meta changes on a yearly basis guaranteed.

You’ve mentioned you want to save for Snezhnaya. Snezhnaya units will be more meta when they release. Until then, Natland and Fontaine units will be just fine, with the exception of fearless Stygian probably.

If you want to only be meta, then you should pull Mauvika and her team anyway, since at the moment they’re still on top.

Actually Im getting ready for mavuika i don’t want he best team because its strong I want it because mavuika also the reason I was saving for snezhnaya is because I love the cryo archon for me shes second to furina I only consider Luna because I was avoiding it unlike other patches like natland and fountaine where I started from the beginning and pulled a lot but Luna is starting from zero

If you want to pull the Cryo archon, and you’re generally looking forward to Snezhnaya, then you can save for her and Snezhnaya in general. When all those characters release, they’ll be incredibly meta.

Nodkrai will be meta until August/September, and then they will, like always, switch over to the next nation.

I actually pulled escoffier just in case the cryo archon needs her but hoyo had to pull that dick move with me and push snezhnaya i was so exited for it I want the cryo archon I love her before seeing her

The one who enables all the luna reactions hasn't even released yet, so if you think its shelf life is nearing its end, it isn't.
