I wasn't directly addressing color, but sure. Differing color schemes *would* be nice. I'm mostly talking about stylistic choice. His skin is too similar to his default. Instead of a flowy overcoat, it's a draped, open coat and best combo. Since it's Lantern Rite, why not a Liyue themed skin.

that is why i said the skins use the same silhouette too. the girls are always just wearing some sort of party dress. the guys are always covered up. the outfits are VERY similar silhouettes to their original outfit. its not distinct. when i think of a good skin, i want a skin that can help me reimagine the character in a distinct way. genshin skins have always failed at that. take ayakas skin for example. the only different thing abut the silhouette is they gave her a hat. its too similar to her base skin, even looking frm behind

Of course it's the same silhouette. I get that. I'm talking about within the confines of Genshin. Sure, we'd all love outfits that completely change the look of the character, but that's not happening. What we *can* get, are skins that at least give us something more different than the original. Neuvillette's skin is just too close to the original when compared to someone like Ningguang and her formal dress.

This is why I still feel like 2.8 is where skins peaked, even if people rip on Diluc and blame him for 5 star skins not catching on. Diluc and Fischl's skins had goated designs that reference important parts of their own stories, were tied to the story beats that were important to THEM rather than being tailored to advertise an event, and most importantly, were NOT BLUE. 😭
