Durin's new artifact set is coming in a week so don't stress about creating a new build for him right now until the update.
In the meantime if you don't have a CR sword you can give him try swapping to a CR circlet. He also doesn't need anywhere near that much ER so you can look at swapping out any piece with high ER rolls for a different piece with high CR rolls.

They showed two new artifact sets for next patch [in the livestream](https://youtu.be/fjQ8xdcC9Eg&t=1321), with one of them being described as for Hexerei characters

Yup, more farming sadly. They showed the new artifacts on the livestream.
The only upside is one set is great for off-field lunar damage (Ineffa, Columbina) while the other set is for any Hexerei character (Venti, Durin, probably Varka) so if you have those characters it's very resin efficient domain to farm.
For Durin though it solves the problem of him currently not really having a best in slot artifact set. My current Durin build is 2pc Nob / 2pc CW so I'm looking forward to changing it to something that suits him better.

You'd struggle less if you gave him a Crit Rate circlet. Genshin Players are allegeric to Crit Rate and think Crit Damage still does something with a low Crit Rate number. It's basic math.
