Banner pulling help

Varessa's banner has a solid plunge team lined up ; Xilonen is a good support to have

since ur brand new Columbina may be one of your last options to consider since u don't have any Nod Krai characters on your roster rn (idk if you plan on pulling for any in the future) but she's the region's archon so she'll be back in a few months. she does proc Lunar charged reactions regardless so if you want her you should consider her.

this is Ineffa's first rerun and it may be awhile for her to come back again but she's a good shielder nonetheless.

Neuvillette and Zibai are the second half so I'm not sure if you're interested in either DPS's however.

Varesa and Xilonen are good units that help a lot with exploration (Varesa sprints very fast and Xilonen's climbing is like walking) but Ineffa + Columbina pair will give you a very strong team from the get go and they are a bit more future proof because they are newer. You will be able to pull them in a week or so

My go-to advice for any new account is to get a strong DPS first. Having a heavy hitter helps with *so much* when you are new. Varesa sounds fine, especially with that Hexerei Fischl+Sucrose core to start things off. Obviously not her best but it would work. Though if Varka turns out to be Hexerei as well then he might be worth waiting for? It's all guesswork as for now though.

I'm not sold on getting Columbina without any other No-Krai units. But if you'd manage to get Columbina *and* Zibai? Then you would have a very strong team in the making. Especially if you'd get a few Illuga copies on the side.

I recently did a brand new account last week.


I had 2 direct options I saw clearly.


1. Hope to hit Chevy, Iansan Cons and win 50/50 on Varesa and go Fischl for free and form the nucleus of an overload team.


2. Go for Ineffa, because in one day you theoretically can get herself, Aino, Sucrose without Chevy/Iansan RNG. Nucleus for LC team and non committal on on field/off field support as Sucrose can drive.


In same relativity applies:


Iansan C2 > Sucrose
Sucrose >>> Fischl C0
Chevy = Sucrose


Since what happened was no Chevy, PJWS of standard ?!!, Fav GS from limited, C2 Gaming, No Iansan the puzzle self solved itself. 50ish pity and easily getting Ineffa just from new acc frontload gems.


Columbina has value if pulling for Ineffa or Zibai if not Bina doesn't hold as much value for a brand new account since its the characters kit and what they do for the reaction itself is way more important.


Ineffa self buffs herself, gives em, shield doesn't require another 5 star NK to hit 40k dps est with new upcoming set. But mine will be higher because PJWS.


So hopefully you see the thought process played out in real time.


And since I already know how hard Ineffa hits with 4 star weapons, in game content will be a joke.

As a fresh account your best first move is *always* pulling a modern DPS.

With the caveat that you should actually like the character, and an understanding that you're going to need a lot of luck or a lot of playtime to pull multiple characters in rapid succession

Varesa is a very strong pull for new players and will benefit your account, but if you don't like her then pulling for, say, Columbina and Zibai next patch will set you up nicely as well

Depends on your criteria for wanting to pull.

All characters are versatile and relevant enough meta wise, as long as you enjoy them and their playstyle then no reason to not recommend.

If you have limited gems then carefully decide which character you want the most and commit to it.

Columbina supports specific characters that you don't have. I'd pass for more general characters. Xilonen and Varesa are both really good and Xilonen can help you get around quickly and climb which is especially valuable for a new account that has lots of stuff to explore and a small stamina bar. Nuevillete is two banners away who is also a strong pick.
