chenyu vale as a whole was very ignored, despite imo being one of the most beautiful locations in Genshin. I swear every single thing from the OST, to the landscape, to the characters, was aced. Never felt any trouble traversing it, the quest was forgettable but peak nonetheless, and the characters we got were good if not meta.
It's a peaceful region, so let's let it be that.

The only controversy I can think of about Lanyan is the one about "Best Shielder" or something pitting her against Zhongli. It wasn't a very loud discussion and I'm glad it wasn't. I have both but Zhongli with Vortex Vanquisher is just handsome (But I understand that Lanyan is almost always the better choice).
