Mondstadt/Dornman Port

I recently watched a game walkthrough from the beginning. It reminded me of how I felt looking at mondstadt for the first time... the music felt welcoming, everything looked like a breath of fresh air, and I was very much excited to get lost in the world of a new game. I know mondstadt has been a little neglected for a while, but Liben brought up a new area. If we do get another expansion to the north, I really hope they keep the aesthetic and is able to recreate that magical feeling you get after setting foot into mondstadt for the first time. I'm really excited and hopeful, what do you guys think?

Genshin has always done a great job with aesthetics and music. My only concern is that the transition between old and new maps might feel too jarring. I hope the devs can upgrade the modeling quality of the older Mondstadt maps and add more environmental detail.

Stormterror’s Lair in particular feels really bare and empty, with very low-detail objests. It honestly looks pretty outdated even compared to Sumeru.

imagine one side of mondstadt you have baby puzzles and the other requires 20 generations of inazuman heritage for a common chest

One thing to remember when we go to Port Dornman is that the game's lead composer, Yu-Peng Chen, who was responsible for all of the early music in the game (including Mondstadt) stepped down in order to give younger composers a chance to shine.

While they've been shining very brightly indeed, it DOES mean that the music we get in the new Mondstadt areas will be the products of different minds than the old Mondstadt areas.

You can go by the music in Chenyu Vale compared to the rest of Liyue for an idea of what it might be like, another similar case.

I'm fine with their composing styles being different than yu peng chen's, I just hope they will bring back that same feeling for me when I first played
