Does swapping emails keep progress?

I'm getting back into the Hoyoverse ecosystem after 2 years (aside from rare log on's) and since then I have a whole new online identity with new facilities and junk, I wanna swap my email. I remember a long while ago, that was tedious to do and I believe it would even mess up your progress on their games. Does that still happen? Is there anything I should know? I just wanna go on the website, switch emails, and continue to log in/play with my same progress, is that possible? Sorry if this seems real obvious, just worried.

yes. the email linked to an account is somewhat similar in function to a username (just an identifier) so it shouldn't affect your progress at all even if you change it.

the only issue i can think of is that you might run into the "too many requests" error. not sure what causes it or how to fix it if you do run into it tho.

Hi, I wanted to ask if you know what happens when I no longer have access to the email address my game is currently linked to? I started playing the game on PC 5 years ago, and after a while, I logged into the account on PlayStation and was automatically kicked off PC. I wanted to switch back to PC now, but I have to enter a verification code that's sent to the email address, which has been deleted. 🥹 Sorry for bothering you, and I hope you understand the text since I had to use a translator.. soo can i still link a new Mail even without having the old one?

you need to contact customer support and ask them to change the email for you. tell them you don't have access to the email anymore. might have to fill out an account recovery form. i recommend going to r/genshinhacked if you have any questions or just want some tips on how to properly fill out the account recovery form.
