Nod krai is killing me.
Why are so many lore relevant characters and so many good looking with prettiest designs getting released at once. Why god why I am so broke? 😭😭😭
Honestly best patch - every character heavily well tied upto good role in AQ, major characters we never expected are here (varka, nicole, durin), beautiful aesthetics, female characters are given sexy clothes but not in poor taste at all (finally), best villains (why can't you guys be playable), buff to old characters, prettiest 4 stars designs.
How are everyone coping as f2p or light spenders?

The only 5.x 5* I pulled for was Xilonen btw
Ineffa and Columbina are mainly pulls for Flins, if I didn't have him, I wouldn't pull them. I pulled Xilonen cause skating up walls was fun
None of the Natlan chars really have the ground feel or impact that Flins does. Closest is Kinich, but his gameplay and teambuilding is way too jank for me to pull him
Varesa is boring cause her sound design and haptics are incredibly poor. Take Xiao or even Kachina for example. Their plunges are incredibly strong and have massive feedback, Varesa meanwhile feels very light to the point of jank. Why would I play Varesa when I can play Xiao, much more fun character
I'm just glad natlan is over, nod krai feels like normal genshin again after that mess, every nk character so far has been likeable. Even the ones i skipped were at the very least pleasant to see in story and had decent/fitting designs.
Haven't enjoyed the game this much since inazuma.
Columbina calls, unfortunately I don’t have anyone to use her with, so I’ll probably grab Ineffa. I’m also looking to get Varka. Then I’ll likely wait until Nicole or Sandrone release (please let her be the hidden figure in the silhouettes image 😩🙏).
Hoyo is killing it with Nod-Krai, every playable character has been a banger imo.
I’ve heard that while she can do all the lunar stuff without another Nod-Krai unit, she isn’t exceptionally good unless you have another Nod-Krai character. I could totally be mistaken though
Im dropping 150 dollars per month in genshin...back in the day we used to buy AAA games at 60 dollars that can last for months.

Back in the day you didn't have money to spend in such an unreasonable way :P. Ask the F2P players how expensive is Genshin for them. It's your money so you do whatever you want with it but don't blame it on the game ;).
I honestly have never understood players, who want to pull for everybody. Like, you do you, of course, but as a Welkin only Buyer, I never felt like I needed to spend more! Reruns are a thing as well.
In general the first rerun is relative soon.
Then I stopped to use Nilou Bloom because I need a true sustain for that team 😅, so I use it only if I want to use Barbara
I guess that this limited character luck might not hold, and in NK its been closer to 90ish pulls per limited character so far for me, but assuming you get BP+Welkin, I think you can still have a headroom for all the new characters you want, maybe even a sig or two in a year, but it would be much tighter.
Nicole, Varka, Alice, Bina and Sandrone are gonna empty me. Good thing I have 2 kidneys

I've gone for Lauma and Nefer so far. Saving for Columbina, Zibai, Nicole, Sandrone and Alice.
Skipped Flins and Durin, probably going to end up needing to skip Varka, but maybe I'll catch him on a rerun if he can be of use to my Faruzan.
With Columbina they will become a wheelchair core

Granted, I've accepted that I'll never beat the damn bloom crab on time anymore without Lauma or Nefer, but I'm more than happy to have gotten Flins and Durin instead.
As an aside, based on your 'no female character is given clothes in poor taste' line, how do you feel about Lauma specifically?
I WANT EVERY FREAKING PERSON IN NODKRAI, except nefer(playstyle and overall dont really love her) but nobody is coming home. I hope I dont lose 5050 on columbina. Could be tough to get her after.

1) Don’t pull Ineffa because you’re not sure about Lunar Charged
2) Don’t pull Lauma because you’re not sure about Lunar Bloom
3) Don’t pull Flins because you don’t have Ineffa
4) Don’t pull Nefer because you don’t have Lauma

Aino? Can we stop the cringe with these "starter pack" characters that you get for free at the start of the region but are completely garbo unless for triggering the new gimmick? At least make them higher than F tier on more general situations, holy sheet.

Varka has half of his hype because he is a male character, thats what happens when you refuse to balance 50/50 or at least 70/30, the other half of his hype is that bro looks big and we heard about him since 1.0, valid reasons ofc and I really hope they dont screw his kit, go my friend, be the gigachad the community always wanted you to be.
Alice is Alice, you know a character is hype when they themselves had voiced a character trailer for another character so yeah, she is the few ones that Im waiting for.
Columbina?
Ok, hear me out(nice start), we all knew she was going to be the archon and that it means she would basically be Furina but for lunar reactions... And we were right but idk man, I feel something is missing from her character even tho she has it all; runs weird but cool, has a random revive, cool hydro app, opens her eyes and all that but it also feels like she is not... Complete. I think they saw how ppl didnt liked archons just being unga bunga dmg that they made her a mostly support but since nod krai reactions are broken, youre very much fine without her(which is good from a player's pov since you dont need her for things to work) but it feels sad. I myself dont have any nod krai carries so I dont think I want her that much too but if no Alice leaks emerge, I might as well pull.

Durin is everything Mavuika should have been, there, I said it, only didnt got him cuz I thought Alice was near and I wasnt sure if I liked him enough hehe

the strategy was right in our faces when Lunar I dropped: suck as dry as the endgame heavily shill the newest reactions prompting us to pull for the new cast then bleed as further as the heavyhitters get released later. i, for one just pulled for Flins because husbando but that's it. my next pull is Varka.
I will probably pick up Ineffa on rerun because it turns out that she's super charming despite not liking her design.
Otherwise, I can't see anyone I am interested in until Sandrone. I don't especially care about Varka, Nicole, Zibai, Alice, or any of those shadows.
I do like the 4 stars, though. Or well, I like their designs and personalities. Their kits all suck.

i pulled actively for jahoda (19 pulls) and aino
the other chars i care about are nicole bina alice sandrone
with ideally getting alice ot c6r1
got a good amount saved up obv not enough for alice yet but hey shes not super close yet isnt she?
so I haven't pulled in a new unit since skirk (regret) and im doing fine, contemplating skipping columbina if her only job is to buff further NK units only instead of enabling lunar reactions for everyone WITH decent multipliers, because the base ones are ass and the reactions beside lunar crystalize don't change the reactions that much if you don't have NK units that is
So basically Durin is the only character I pulled for gameplay resons, the rest is because I like them.
I hope I can get quickly get ineffa afterwards, maybe columbines weapon and save for varka the next patch.
I may have to dip either In star glitter savings or farm exploration and quests 😭.
I'm planning on getting Bina, and I'm gonna try to get Ineffa and then I'll be saving for Sandrone. But all the new characters + all the good reruns going forward is gonna make saving very hard lol.
I got lucky on Flins' banner. Did a single pull because I wanted stardust, and the ol' Lightkeeper came home. Pulled for Arlecchino because she's cool and also my friends were upset that they couldn't get her(one of which pays for welkin regularly)
I'm hoping that after Varka I can finally take a break from 1 patch. (Unless I end up hating someone's kit enough to skip.)
