Is this weapon really useful for Varesa, or are there better free-to-play options?

it's fine if you don't have widsith. it's slightly better than r1 widsith anyways
r5 widsith isn't MUCH better anyways (6% better i think)

The more attack buffs in your team the worse this gets compared to widsith. Only problem with widsith is you have to reset until you get the right buff sometimes depending on the content.
