Have you ever switched your go-to character?

It's been 5 years. Ive switched a lot lol.

Mona was my first ever. It's currently kinich

I went from Keqing ( first 5* ) to Kazuha ( first non standard 5*) i switched because he did more dmg and exploration was easy :))

I went Kaeya>Raiden>Mauvika. I still use Raiden for my second team, but I definitely had to cherry pick some good 4 stars from random banners when I had low pity when I was switching it up

Zhongli was my first 5 star and so I used him for basically a year. Then came corrosion enemies and I had to learn the way of the dodge. Then I got Kuki and she's been in nearly all of my teams since.

I dont really have a main. I switch the team I use every other week because I like diversity. I also have a pretty good roster and mostly built, so I like playing different character from time to time. The only one I don’t ever play is Wrio. Sorry bud.

Yes, all the time. I could like Citlali, but it doesn't matter

Ayaka freeze is my main. still is. still worked in Natlan and Nod Krai lol

I pulled Yoimiya in my first week playing three years ago and I still main her now. Her and Raiden are why I got into the game. Both them and their supports are vertically invested so I don't have issues clearing most content.

I mean, yes. All the time. Whenever I pull for a new character I play the team they land in to get their friendship to level 10 at the very least.

Whoever is not at friendship 10 is my main

Go to I see as the character that can clear any situation, is that so?

Started with Phys Jean, then Phys Rosaria, then Kokomi, Yelan (first 36* in abyss was due to her).

Later on, Navia, sometimes Neuvilette. Arlecchino.

Currently, it's Varesa.

I have a Chiori C2R1 but she can't compete with Varesa R1 as "go to" character for any situation.

Edit: 'main' as in 'main' character I like, it's Rosaria and Chiori, didn't change so far.

I have switched a lot, but I like to explore with my gang from natlan.

In 6 months, if you talk strictly on-field DPS, i'd say :

• Physical Geo MC, was nice enough in the early game, i've kept using dear Lumine in explo team until mid-Inazuma.
• Then Sethos who stayed quite a while since i got him leveled, carried me for a solid 3 months with Hyperbloom along Collei and Barbara as i climbed the Adventure Ranks, he also competed with Tighnari.
• Yelan then Nefer, innevitably, as they were my first banner 5\*, very efficient.
• Now Varesa, way too good for both combat and exploration, i sometimes give her an Overload team, sometimes an Aggravate one with Tighnari back as his build and rotation is decent here, + an archer for explo is always nice.

Currently AR57 and wondering what my explo teams will looks like in the future, i fear any other char will have difficulty competing with Varesa.
When it comes to healer, i can always rely on good old Barbara, Qiqi and Yaoyao, especially my C3 Yaoyao who works well in all my Dendro based teams.

I don't have mains, the reason why I pull new characters is to use them. And i'm very glad tht the hexenzirkel buffs gave me an incentive to finally build Razor, even if it's only for the open world. I'm also having a lot of fun with Klee overload lately.

Kazhua and Ayaka have been my go-to and stay main.

I always switch out Yelan, Raiden, Arlecchino and Nahida

Once I got furina to c6, she has never left my overworld team. Yoimiya? Sure vape works great. Navia? Works great with MH. Varesa? Not a great synergy but whatever, in she goes. Skirk? Furina is hydro so she works. Durin carry? Sure, whatever, in she goes.

I think the only dps I’ve pulled that I’ve not used her with is mualani since furina would steal the vapes. But that just means mualani is only used to find natlan specialties and abyss/imaginarium :D

I started the game on the 21st November 2024 and Diluc was the first 5 star that I got. Diluc was my go-to for that time but on the 21st January 2025 I got Xiao. Considering I didn’t know much about team building I was using Diluc, Xiao, Lisa and Barbara together.

I switched to using Xiao fully on the 4th February when I finally learned about team building, so Xiao became my go-to character. Come the 26th March I got his last teammate which was Xianyun.

On the 30th September I got Flins and switched to him up until the 30th December. Considering I ended up C6R1ing Flins, I felt like he was making the game a bit too easy.

On the 30th December I decided to up my world level to 9 and see how I would do in that ( *I did fine; was worried for nothing* ). I missed Xiao’s gameplay as I really do like using his character. I made the decision to switch back to my C6R1 Xiao and I haven’t switched since.

Yeah? Being "main" something doesnt mean you dont play other stuff, Klee is my favorite character since 1.0, am I a main Klee? No(pretty happy with the buffs tho), I barely play her nowadays.

For like the first year or so I put Qiqi on most of my teams since I had the GREAT luck of getting her C6 before getting a single other standard 5-star.

I mained diluc since launch and added itto and neu to the team to be the power hitters at different stages but I always went back to diluc as I was just used to him, but recently I have been maining flins almost daily, only because of his artifact domain, diluc struggles with the wild hunt, but flins powers through them with ease, but non wild hunt mobs, diluc is still my go to

As someone who doesn't main anyone, I just use whoever I want to at the time. I'd use skill spam cryo Freminet or TF overvape Bennett on floor 12 abyss if I think they could clear it. Unless it's Fearless/Dire Stygian where I use the optimal team I could and try to clear as fast as I can (or just try to clear if on Dire).
Though for story quests, I always go solo Lumine, unless combat gets too hard or needs someone else for puzzles.

My go-to characters are Venti and Zhongli. I *was* starting to struggle a wee bit from time to time with dps, but thanks to them both being c6 and getting upgrades, we're back on top.


Or Venti is anyway, obviously haven't tried lunar crystallize yet. Zhongli has that wall of a shield that also heals my party and shreds res though, so he's honestly still pretty okay even without.


I anticipate I will swap them out approximately never (except when an enemy is fully immune to or healed by geo or anemo).

My go-to is Lumine/Traveler..while I can fight with a team and have her as support...I need her in my team when doing quests

(Lumine is literally the reason I started playing)

Replaced Noelle a few months back for Xianyun since Xianyun healing was better. (Plus I like using her jumping ability to get around quicker.)

Recently replaced Xiangling for Sangonomiya Kokomi, but still switch them around from time to time depending on my use case.

I used to use Ganyu for basically everything. Nowadays, I find myself turning to Mavuika or Skirk when I want to get things done fast...

i always use the latest character i got in gacha for endgame.
otherwise, albedo always stays on my team in the overworld because content is too easy anyways and i love the little guy

Obviously. My first on-fielder was Yanfei. Switched to Ayaka when I pulled her on her first banner.

Although I got other teams in Sumeru I didn’t use them much in overworld.

Switched to Neuvillette for a short time before I got Xianyun, who became my main overworld character, and still is, for exploration. Then I got Arlecchino (C3R1, now C6) who became my main combat character.

I find it VERY hard not to use Xianyun and Arlecchino in the overworld. The first has unparalleled traversal, and the second just destroys everything very quickly.

My go to team went from Hu Tao when she was released to Arlechinno to Skirk

Went from Keqing -> Raiden -> back to Keqing (3.X) -> Clorinde -> and currently Mavuika and Skirk

First since last year: Noelle. Still have her in my party, but currently loving playing as Flins <3

Played Tighnari in between and will play Sandrone when shes comming out.

Razor, then Xiao, then both (because mining ores).
Late Inazuma (GAA2) was when I finally built a proper National Team with Raiden, and went with that for some time alongside Kokomi (my fav Inazuman character) when not using National.

But usually still Razor and Xiao + Sayu and Zhongli for exploration.

Come Fontaine, Neuvillette for quickly getting stuff done, and Wriothesley when I had time to enjoy because he is my fav, so i use him whenever I can.

In Natlan, most of the time was using Kinich and Xilonen.

Even tho my most recent dps is Flins (love him), my goto now is Ifa just because his fast travel is so good for anything, has anemo resonance, tall for good running, and heals.

Other than Ifa, i switch my dps every now and then and currently using Kinich again.

Edit: also shoutout to Itto and Cyno mains. I love them too, but it's hard to use them in the open world because they are Burst dependent. Happy whenever there is a chance i get to let them shine though, been getting constellations from the free con event to set up my Cyno team, and still itching to find a time and place to use Itto again. Wrio and Shenhe will always get priority for cons tho.

Kazuha => Tighnari => Wanderer => Chasca => Varessa/Durin (as a bundled pair)

i used to play traveller because he was such a cutie patootie but then i pulled kinich and he makes exploration so much fun i ended playing him the most...

will most likely be playing mainly with neuvillete once i pull him during his next banner though he's always been my favourite character in the game 😅

After i got Hutao, she never left my 1st place spot. She is my cutie-pie. And i had her there since she first released. But then i saw a hottie with a scythe... and she just hit so much harder than my HuTao. It kinda broke my heart :( she's been my main since her last banner, but I've been running veressa recently since i just got her.

My main was xiao, then to itto, now nilou&nahida. Waiting for columbina to come home :) then lauma c1 after that.

I still play itto, but xiao is kinda my 3rd stygian team only pretty much. Abyss is just itto and nilou , depending which side they can do better on
