For weapon pullers how much do you guys spend?

So far I've only pulled on weapon banner twice.

First time was for Nahida's weapon. Lost 50/50, but got it anyway.

Second time was for Venti, but won 50/50. I haven't spent yet though.

0. Same with characters, I just save a lot of wishes until I dump it on a banner and prioritize what is higher % increase, whether it is a constellation or signature.

I just save enough for a character and their weapon usually.

Like right now, I have 500ish wishes saved.

I have only spent for the weapon banner once, for Itto, lol. The rest of the time I just do a thing where I occasionally dump a ten-pull into the weapon banner, and build up pity until I get something. Or I get lucky. Whatever comes first. And I only pull weapons for characters I really like, regardless of how good the weapons are.

Welkin only. I plan beforehand. Only pull weapon for dps and of course I only pull characters that I like. Furthermore, I only pull on weapon banners where the other weapon is still beneficial.

All the time. If it is a character I want to invest in, I will get their weapon and cons. No question asked.

i'll throw a ten pull from time to time on a banner if i've won my 50/50 and over time the pity builds up. when im close to around 50, i wait until theres a banner with two really good weapons and then throw the rest of the wishes at it. that's how i got venti's new weapon

I have 41 5 Stars, not including The Traveler and The Wonderland Characters.

Most of them have Constellations, and every single one of them has their signature or better (Albedo on Chiori's Weapon and Ganyu Lyney's). Several of these also have refinements for good measure.

Both Traveler and Aloy even have 5 Stars (Jadecutter for Traveler and Elegy for Aloy).

The only 5 Stars without their weapons are Qiqi (on Sac Sword) and the Wonderland Characters (because, why?).

So how much have I spent?

In the 5 years I've played Genshin, I could have bought a pretty nice car instead.

I generally only pull on weapon banner if it's the best option by a large margin or if I have extra primos, and I only ever pull for R1. It's not a priority for me since I have an old account with multiple R5 copies of a lot of 4 star weapons, and BP weapons, and old event weapons, and materials for the craftables.

That being said, now that you can only loose 50/50 once, I might go for some on reruns that I skipped initially. Point being, I don't intentionally spend money on the weapon banner.

Just Welkin and BP. I only go for non-support weapons though, and just on a whim when I happen to pull the character. Got them for Mavuika, Flins, Venti, Xilonen most recently.

I have been pretty lucky on the weapon banner, only lost twice. And I have almost 20 limited 5* weapons. I am a welkin, BP, and occasional top ups player.

I mean, this is going vary wildly. Some people C6R5 every character.

I have C6R5 for three event characters: Yoimiya, Zhongli (Homa) and Hu Tao (Homa). Yes I have have two R5 Homas. I have event weapons for most of the event 5 stars I own (I have around 40 event weapons and some of these have refinements). I would guess I have around $40k into the game since it's release (I started around 12/9/2020...this is when I got Amber). Overall, I have around 50 level 90 5\* weapons and another 40+ level 90 4\* weapons. This is why I never had weapon exp.

I don't really know. I don't really keep track of the actual monetary spend or wishes spent. If I decide to pull for a weapon, or weapon refinements, I'll blow my wishes and if I don't get it, I'll just spend money to make up the difference. The best guess I have is that the money spent specifically on weapon banner is well into the thousands. I have 87 5* weapons, 50 of which being unique weapons (not including refinements). On average, I'd assume it's around 200-ish dollars per banner weapon pull, assuming one is starting from 0 wishes

Zero specifically for weapon banners but have bought welkin if that counts + whatever free primos I get and only pull if I can use both weapons

I don't pull for weapons now but I used to get C0r1 minimum on all every 5 stars I pull and occasional c1r1. I did welkin, battle pass and bought $100 crystal once or maybe twice per month. I don't spend at all now though.

Paimon.moe puts my pity average at 52.33 but that's just because I've been lucky a few times and got it within ten pulls, most of the time I get the weapon in 66 pulls, and if you count that you're going to need to win a 50/50 roughly you need 130 pulls to be safe, even if you're missing a few pulls you should be able to get them during the banner

If you're talking about irl money then none I just plan my pulls

I pull only for characters I like and then go for weapons if I know i have enough, like I pulled mav and her weapon, flins and his weapon, neu and his weapon.

Flins is the only nodkrai character I have and been saving up since for varka and his weapon, I *may* try to c6 him with all my saved up wishes but idk how it'll go 🤣 depends on how lucky/unlucky i get

When there's a weapon I want, I save for months ahead of time. This is uncommon, though - usually I don't touch the weapon banner at all. Rarely is not never, though, so I figured I'd respond to your question.

While I do save my wishes, technically I DO spend - just not specifically for any given weapon or character. I buy Battle Pass regularly, and occasionally buy Welkins whenever there's a character skin I'm interested in getting (I save up the 300 Crystals from each Welkin to pay for the skin).

So, I have more resources than a f2p would have. I tend to stockpile them so that I have a ready supply of wishes whenever Hoyo decides to spring something unexpected on us, like a Chronicle banner.

I only just started buying welkin + bp, so I was f2p whenever I did the weapon banner. Every time was simply when I was okay with both weapons. So 2 - 3 weapon banners total over 3 years.

Been playing since 1.1, been spending a bit since Lantern Rite 2022 but only started being a consistent Welkin + BP player around Escoffier's banner

I only pull weapon for DPS and if I really like the character

So far I have Childe/Alhaitham/Arle/Skirk sigs + Mistsplitter/Homa/Aqua

$100-200 depending on your luck. 0 if you save beforehand.

I pay until the weapon drops. If I'm not ready to spend that, I won't pull on that banner at all.

I'm on my eternal Welkin and don't spend otherwise on the game.

I don't pull nearly every Char, not even every 2nd, so when a cool Char comes out I have the funds for either a Con or two, or their weapon.

If it's good value I pull. Simple as that.

And since I never touch my Star Glitter I'm currently sitting on a very comfortable pillow of emergency funds.
400 Pulls or something like that.

Columbina I'd love to get C2 may put a dent into that tho if my luck runs out on her. Pulled a bit to much recently. xD
C2 Flins and C1/R1 Nefer. Skipped all the others tho.

I pull on weapon banner only when the 2 festured weapon are interesting to me and i don't mind losing to the other weapon.

Id say roughly $100-200 gets me the weapon I want. According to paimonmoe 55 is my average to get a 5* weapon, so its usually a matter of winning the 50/50. It was ofc more expensive before the weapon banner fate point - but thats long ago.

How much I spend depends on how much it costs to pull. I always view gacha transactions as a purchase with a variable rebate. I budget assuming the full price, and consider myself lucky if it comes before hard pity.

Welkin+BP and I just wing it. If I have pity it’s from wanting a 4 star weapon(like the fruitful hook rn) or maybe getting currency for the monthly pulls.

Consistent welkin

The weapon banner is the only reason I’ve ever spent money on genesis crystals and I hope to never do that again. Honestly, it was a lot of wishes, but at the same time, I got three 5 star weapons that I could use on characters that I already had (Aquila Favonia for DPS Qiqi- yes I’m weird-, Calamity Queller for Shenhe, and then I spent $80 getting MistSplitter for Keqing).

Although I’m happy with what I got, it also pains me knowing that I’ve spent money on something that will eventually be taken away from me once the plug gets pulled on Genshin.

I’ve done 3 or 4 Welkin Moons as well, but that’s the extent of the money I’ve spent. Typically I don’t pull on banners if I don’t have my targeted character/weapon guaranteed.

Now that the weapon banner has gotten MUCH more F2P friendly, I am considering going for Ineffa’s weapon next patch. I’ll just see how my primo stash looks before her banner ends.

It helps to have realistic expectations about what you can afford to acquire. If you are good with buying Welkin every month, then you can probably afford at least one 5 star character or weapon every two months. Get lucky and win 50/50 or super early 5 star? Then maybe 2. For completely F2P people it’s more like one 5 star every three months. I just try to pick out 2-3 new 5 stars per new region to go for. So for 6.0, it’s Durin, Ineffa, and then maybe Columbina. Then I’ll save for weapons for whichever characters on my roster I feel could use it most.

It doesn't matter if it's a character or a weapon. Whales will spend and FP2 won't.

As for me, I usually only pull for a weapon banner when it is worth pulling. Like when Hu Tao and Yelan's weapon banner came up. Both their weapons are good which means getting one or the other is good regardless of what I got. In that Banner, I manage to pull for Staff of Homa which I was pretty happy with. Staff of Homa is a very good pole arm for a lot of characters so it is worth to pull. Honestly, new players who manage to catch the new Venti and Durin Weapon Banner are very lucky. It's a rare chance to see two good weapons on the same banner.

I think the only time I ever pull for a weapon specifically for a single character is when I pulled for Arlecchino's Weapon. Even to this day, I don't regret it. It looks so good on her.

It's not the norm for me to pull weapons, but I've pulled 8 limited ones (7 of them were for Venti or Venti's support lol). I just get welkins sometimes.

I only spend on welkin. If I didn't get the weapon I move on.

I’m completely F2P but my formula is usually as such

Either I “impulsive” pull and only get a limited character with 70-ish wishes, only getting their weapon on a rerun

Or

I go through a drought, save up a lot of wishes, pull for weapon and character

I think I have like 5 limited weapons gathering dust because I’m a lazy human being who only uses Chasca but yeah, that’s about it

Unless I REALLY like a character, I don't pull on the limited weapon banner. They get a standard or a 4* until I get another standard copy for them...

Because this next weapon banner is a win win, i'm going to drop like $100 on it.

I buy welkin & bp only & I only pull on a few weapons banners. I need to check, but I reckon my character to weapon pull ratio is at least seven characters for each weapon. My general rule is to only pull if I can make good use of both weapons. I intend to pull on the next banner as I'm going for both characters.

I've only made 1 exception to my rule which was for Mavuika's claymore. It wasn't even for the damage- I felt like I was wasting too much of my life waiting for serpent spine stacks. 0 regrets even though I had to miss another 5* character to do it.

If I have enough to guarantee the weapon and I don't mind getting the other weapon, I roll.

You gotta plan your pulls and know when to skip a bad banner. Never planned to pull Nahida’s weapon but during Xianyun’s first banner I figured I wouldn’t mind losing to it and lo and behold I got Nahida’s weapon. Likewise, I lost to Furina’s weapon while pulling Nefer’s. Threw my build all out of whack but, hey, the drip is IMMACULATE.

I usually drop 100-200 for a weapon. Not worth it but I always buy the character’s signature. I have Vortex Vanquisher on ZL and no one can pry it out of his hands

I only pull if I have a use for both weapons (ideally I want both). Most of the time I have saved up enough to get at least one weapon. Sometimes I do a few "lucky pulls" if I feel like I won't miss having those pulls.

I usually dont pull weapons - Ive pulled 4 total between Fontaine and Natlan and usually only pull on banners Im ok with either weapon. I will pull on this columbina/Ineffa banner as I have Ineffa and will get at least C0 bina so I will pull at least one weapon. I have 328 wishes saved. I buy welkin and thats just about it. I spent $20 or 30 during neuvillettes banner on topups that I can remember in the last 2+ years.


The weapon banner is still bad despite getting down to 1 fate point. I have almost all the useful standard 5 star weapons so those are not useful anymore and getting the “off weapon” can be awful in 2 ways - 1 its a bad weapon like donut, 2 - its a hyperspecific weapon on a character I dont own.

Zero, i only pulled signature weapons for characters that i really like. And i only do that only when i have extra primos to spend. Majority of my characters still using the 4* or f2p options. Even with that, i can full stars every endgame content (well, except for SO dire). Remember guys, signature weapond are not a requirement, spend your primos and money wisely.

Personally I try to pull everyone so I never have enough to pull for weapons or additional constellations. I like a full roster.

So for weapons, I can only save up on Masterless Starglitter so that I have enough to make a guaranteed pull in case I lose the 50/50 (roughly 70-90pulls x 2 x 5 glitters). It's pretty hard to save up so I only reserve the weapon for top of the top tier characters.

Welkin like usual lmao, pulling weapon is much cheaper than character anyway.

C0R1 is the baseline for me. If cons are good I'll go for them as well but sigs are default pulls. These days the devs are obviously pushing for cons as you get a shitload of value out of them compared to old cons. C2 is usually the most enticing so ever since Natlan, 80% of my 5* are C2R1. On the average each patch costs me ~$400-600 on pulls alone. My luck with 50/50 is shitty so I rarely have to spend less.
