game8 tier list might be the worst one to exist, game8 in general is really bad. There are no genshin tierlist sites that are reliable.

Yeah, finding a good one is a rreal strugglegle.
RoyAhoym2026-01-06 23:38
I think game8 is fine enough, because if you don’t understand the game it’s barebones enough to make sense, and if you know more to where it’s not entirely accurate but ok then you probably don’t need a tier list. If you’re looking for more in depth just guides on how individual characters perform will be a lot more informative that just a list of characters ranked

I'm torn between my gaming C1 and keqing c0, I know both aren't really good and both need a lot of support more than they in itself, but choosing in what to invest is hard
RoyAhoym2026-01-06 23:49
Ok that makes sense so I’m guessing you are a newer player. Gaming is generally considered the better of the 2, but it really depends on what you can set up. Gaming is very reliant on having another Cryo character (Citlali is best, Rosaria f2p) because he’s functional primarily due to melt. Keqing is a little more versatile but she might be the easier one to play. However if you do have both, you can always build both. So if I had to choose and you just asked which is better I give it to Gaming, but I really do suggest you look at guides of how they play and see which one you like better. This game can be overwhelming to understand the meta of but there are a lot of tools that help. Discords and Keqingmins have pretty good written guides you can use, but any video off of YouTube will usually be accurate and easy to follow

Btw, I'd say this is exactly the kind of question tier lists are very bad at answering. Overall the other answer is quite complete, I'll only add that if you have very few characters, a good teammate for Keqing is the Dendro traveler, that you can get by visiting any statue of the Seven at Sumeru.

Here's your tier list:
S - anything newer than 1 year
A - anything newer than 2 years
B - anything older than 2 years
There are few exceptions, but with all powercreep and shilling we have in endgame it's like that overall.

The tier lists would adjust every few months. There's some pretty broad ones out there, but the issue is that Genshin is more of a Team Game than a Character Game.
Take Escoffier for example. If you play Skirk, she's an SS+, Tier 0, or whatever bullshit ranking is assigned.
If you play Mavuika, Escoffier doesn't do much at all other than enable some melts.
Looking at the Nod Krai Teams, Nefer is incredibly strong, but reliant on Lauma. If you don't have Lauma, then she's a mid tier character.
You see the problem?

Tier lists are by design dogshit and will only mislead you, or just be useless at best.
Instead of looking for a tier list, ask what you actually want to ask. Are you wondering what teams you can make with your roster? Post your roster and ask that directly.
Hamonio_2026-01-07 00:55
What is the best way to post my roster? Or just list all of them in plain text? I'm new and below AR 45
babangelsin2026-01-07 01:32
Share them via Hoyolab or just take a screenshot in-game and upload to a hosting website such as imgur

There are no good tier lists.
corecenite2026-01-07 00:18
none because all damage output is subjective to change depending on how you set the team and rotations up. there are just too many variables to just say *"this good, that bad"*
Bierzgal2026-01-07 00:18
There is no such thing as a tier list that will make everyone happy. They are all subjective. I will say that the G8 stuff is probably one of the worst in the community. Personally I agree a fair lot with the one Jello Impact did.
And while it's also not perfect, at least some thought went into making it and a lot of his reasoning is sound. Keep in mind though that Genshin meta is super fluent. The above video is 2 weeks old and it is already bit oudated. So use tier lists as tools, not some oracles.
