Who tf is zibai
Ive seen many theories about her but they all contradict each other…
Some people are saying she is isatroths daughter
Some are saying she was actually here before istaroth and her powers were taken and given to istaroth.
I just want an answer as to where people are getting this information from since its contradictory, not “wait till the update”

So you want to be misinformed? Go see a psychic
One of the only things I'd say we're fairly sure of is her being a former angel due to the Azurelight passage paralleling Springs of Hidden Jade and them showing Azurelight's lore while talking about Zibai in the livestream
Edit:
The excerpt:
"The mountain people once viewed her as time's daughter, like a white horse leaping from a pure spring,..."
The current informations of her are from 2 book from [Moonlit Bamboo Forest](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Moonlit_Bamboo_Forest) and [Spring of Hidden Jade](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Springs_of_Hidden_Jade)
The rest of her tidbits were from Yanfei's anecdote, [Azurelight](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Azurelight)'s description
Genshin’s lore has always made sure to never make things straightforward or easy to understand, Moonlit Bamboo Forest was animated off of the in-game books
Genuinely if you’re not interested enough to read up on all the books and make connections to X or Y from past events or areas then yes, you have to wait for the update
In 5.2, the game added a book called "Springs of Hidden Jade". In that book, the White Horse adeptus was mentioned again, this time as "The Daughter of Time". This is the main source of the theory about her being Istaroth's daughter, which is also strengthen by Istaroth introducing Zibai in her drip marketing.

That's the first time I heard about that.
