I wanna draw badly again. This isn't self-deprecating; I want to draw without getting so caught up in something being perfect, or worrying about how much better someone else can/will do.

FR I love Iansan. She’s awesome. When she mentioned making that diet or regimen thing for Paimon I was like SHII MAKE ONE FOR ME TOO, COACH. LOL.

And yeah I feel that ngl. I feel that way when it comes to journaling, cuz I get pretty particular about how I wanna phrase things.

But that moment when you finally just let loose and let your fingers do all the work, it’s so relieving. If you’ve got a creative idea that pops up into your head, maybe you could try listening to music that really captures the theme that you’re trying to go for? Pretty sure you’re aware of this already but yea, music helps alotttt when it comes to distracting you from negative thoughts/comparisons. Just get lost in it and then pick up that pencil :)

Actually, I've been experimenting with using music to help! Part of my issue is having nervous energy with nowhere for it to go. So I've started putting on songs that are 3-5 minutes long, but *not* in a playlist. I make myself start each one manually. It's been helping me to not get caught up on making this or that looking perfect because I have to put on the next song soon. Then, in the few seconds it takes me to do that, I look at what I've drawn and, magically, that line I drew doesn't look so wrong after all.

hey man, I totally understand the "I want it to be perfect thing" but we have to keep drawing.

try to do simple stuff that you would be like "pfff, I know I can do that by eye" and just... make it pretty

it could be a portrait or even just a cool looking tree, sometimes you have to get small wins that arent something "WOW" but help you keep your sanity and feel good about yourself

Haha yeah, it's the doing it anyway part that I want to work on. I did make one pic recently that I really liked! (It's on my profile. I'd link but I'm on mobile.) But realized I took way too long to make it *perfect* above just *making it* in the first place. So I want to just create again. I'll go back and spruce it up if I want.
