You will get banned and how do you plan to select the dialog?
Star7052026-01-07 08:03
I have only seen this. what I seen they sit there and have the auto clicker on the dialog and choose the first option. They take over when needed.

Probably safer to use a controller and make physical pressing machine tbh. When I'm on my phone and console I'm constantly spam tapping if I want to skip lol

It wouldn't be.
Let's just assume you weren't dumb enough to use autohotkey or an easily detectable program, and you're executing the macro via official Razer/Logitech/whatever software, or via your controller's built in button spamming function
Any inputs coming from a macro would be essentially indistinguishable from a real input, as far as software goes.
Macro detection at that point, then, relies on statistically analyzing inputs to determine if a real human is making them, or of software is. For example, if every single input comes in exactly 10ms apart, that's probably a computer.
A physical button pressing machine would look exactly like a machine making inputs because... it is a machine making inputs.
You'd have better luck with a software macro, some of the peripheral manufacturers, I think Corsair is one, let you include random delays in your macros.

I have a mouse macro that spams F. Mouse macros seem to be in the grey area, haven't heard anyone getting banned from it but then again my circle is a very small percentage of the whole playerbase, so take that with a huge pinch of salt.

Difference between a mouse macro and auto clicker?
babangelsin2026-01-07 08:10
IDK, never used an auto clicker. You don't need to actually point your mouse and click anything, spamming F works for progressing dialogue.

Macros for gaming^tm peripherals run either on the device itself, or in the driver, and are indistinguishable* from actual inputs coming from the device.
Autoclicker software, like Autohotkey, run in their own unique programs.
That distinction is very much "personal definitions may vary", btw, so your friend using an "auto clicker" might actually be doing it via a mouse macro, and just calling it an "autoclicker".
There's no way Mihoyo can ban everyone with a Razer or Logitech mouse. They'd ban half their PC playerbase. The half who had a bunch of extra money they wasted on overpriced name brand gaming^tm peripherals. (I too use a Razer mouse, don't lynch me)
They *can*, however, go around banning everyone who has autohotkey installed and running alongside Genshin - checking for programs like that is what lazy anti-cheat implementations do.
*Macro inputs are actually distinguishable from real inputs - they're too regular. i.e., every single click will come exactly 10ms apart, whereas a human clicking will go 9ms on one click, but 11ms on the next click, and so on - so the question becomes if Mihoyo cares about about people using macros to skip story enough to actually put effort and processing power into scrutinizing input like that. The answer is apparently, generally, no. Also, some manufacturers allow you to set random delays - although that might also be detectible with statistical analysis - humans struggle to be as random as computers.

Bans come in waves. Just so you know.
Star7052026-01-07 08:12
First warning is a week correct? Then a month then a 50 years
Star7052026-01-07 08:14
And half a year long ban wave?

Gamepad + Autofire toggle/switch = Auto Paimon-skipping joy
No third-party software required, no macros used, it's just like you spamming the fire button on the gamepad... without the physical spamming. Downside is that the game has to stay as the focus but I'll take it.

Sounds like a good idea. Anything to skip the infinite amount of pointless yap in this game.
