I know I'm probably not the only one who's noticed this but I think it's pretty neat how similar or how outright parallel the themes between Nahida (the one who called herself as the moon as a metaphor) and Columbina's (a literal moon goddess) stories in the archon quests are. Not to mention how both of their recurring themes being similar but only differing in magnitude.

1. Themes of rejection or straight up being denied
• Nahida being imprisoned and shunned by the Akademiya and their sages which resulted to her dwindling influence and renown in Sumeru.
• Columbina being fully rejected by the world resulting in her weakening power and existence.

2. How they obtained their authorities and powers
• Nahida being a successor of the original avatar of Irminsul and borne out of the wish to cleanse the tree.
• Columbina being borne out of the wish of the three moon sisters.

3. Identity issues
• Nahida finding herself inferior to the greater lord and is insecure of her capabilities in comparison to the latter as she's suddenly thrust into the position of archon and is decidedly seen as incapable by the sages of the time. Ultimately letting herself be imprisoned in the sanctuary of Surasthana.
• Columbina not truly knowing/wanting to be the Frostmoon scion's goddess as she's suddenly thrust into the role of their God while making their devotion towards her transactional. She ultimately leaves and goes towards Snezhnaya.

They even have the same fatui antagonist. The FUCKING DOCTOR.

4. How they're trapped/cornered by Dotorre
• Dottore manipulates everyone's Akasha by implanting false memories to distract traveller and corner Nahida.
• Dotorre manipulates the phantoms to create variables to enable himself to use the moon marrows to ascend godhood and created a fake moon to trap columbina.
(This one's kind of a stretch, I think)

5. How both goddesses had to trap themselves
• Nahida had to lock herself in to prevent Dotorre reaching him after being cornered.
• Columbina had to trap herself in the moon's reflection via moon gate to prevent Dotorre from accessing all three powers of the moon.

6. DID I MENTION THEY ALSO HAVE RELATIONS TO A MAN-MADE GOD??
• Nahida fights the Lord of Arcance wisdom designed by Dottore.
• Dottore would himself ascend to godhood using the moon marrows and Columbina but she's gone so he makes another one.

7. THIS IS REACHING BUT HEAR ME OUT.
• Sumeru's initial problem of the dream harvesting was influenced by Dotorre's plan to create a god.
• Nod Krai's (I cannot prove it but I just know the bastard has a hand on the wild hunt shenanigans and everything that transpired so we would get the moon marrows without him laying a hand) Rerir shenanigans and Varka being lured into an empty lead, possibly by the doctor (T

This is by no means a 1:1 comparison but I think it's neat how similar both Sumeru and Nod Krai's underlying themes are and how they involve everyone banding together to defeat a common enemy (Well every nation does but Sumeru and Nod Krai's feel and direction feel most similar to the cast bond and all).

Also can we talk about the Doctor too?? The bastard's a well-written character and is incredibly smart too but the fucker is not creative at all. What do you mean let's copy paste Sumeru's plan to Nod Krai but bigger and me as the god this time ehe.
(Sir, I love that you make the story infinitely more colorful but I cannot wait to beat your ass for the weeks to come after the update)
