how resinless do you have to be to discover this. i assume you checked it after every daily and weekly reset

I checked twice every week for 2 weeks by now. It's on an ore mining path.

I just started having to mine ore. Do you use any particular path or just hit the full circuit every other day?
throwway852352026-01-07 20:12
I just go through every pin on Wednesday and Sunday. It technically doesn't yield the most ore drops per week, but I can cap out 40 grade 3 crystals every day and not run a deficit on ore, so this is still above the most efficient the game allows anyway.
Whobeye4562026-01-07 20:13
That works for me. Thanks!
kirxan2026-01-07 21:28
The Chasm is a great place to mine.
Back in the day (before Chasm) I used to mine ores daily, hitting up the spots with the magic chunks. Just speak to the Blacksmith in each region and you'll know all the locations soon enough. The Leylines also indicate presence of ore nearby.
Whobeye4562026-01-07 21:43
Once I realized the blacksmith only highlights magic crystal chunks I stopped using it since the only decent use of them is the parametric transformer. I aint turning resin into weapon xp.
kirxan2026-01-08 02:11
So.. Crystal nodes respawn between 48-72 hours. And there are hundreds of such locations in the game. Magic Crystal nodes respawn (and despawn) every day. These spots are fewer and overlap with regular Crystal nodes.
This means if you go to a regular Crystal spot today, it won't have new crystals tomorrow. Unless, it is a spot where Magic Crystal also appears. Whenever Magic Crystal appears, some of the regular crystals will also spawn. Not all though. I don't remember the exact number, but there are 6-8 such spots everyday in every region. Which means you can get crystals from ~40 of those places every day. I find this to be an efficient way to mine crystals. Not the maximum yield, but you could do this in 15-20 minutes daily. The Chasm underground is a super efficient place where you can get ~170 crystals every 3 days, which takes only 15 minutes as well.
Bottom line: If you have limited time for Crystal mining chores, just hit the Blacksmith spots and Chasm. If you want all the crystals you can get your hands on, there are other mining routes available.
kayrid392026-01-07 22:18
If you’re mining for condessence crystal or just need ore for weapon exp, there's a good path through underwater fontaine. I use the jellyfish bombs and it one shots all the crystal. There's also quite a bit of mora, especially if you bonk the enemies along the way, if you need that too.
- I usually start east of the willow, go down past Lumidouce Harbor to about the southern tip of Fort Charybdis Ruins.
- Then back up and west from Lumidouce until about the little island with a statue
- Then tp to Elynas's skull and head east until about the talent mat domain
- Then tp to the hole with a bunch of crystals (in the narrow bit that runs north between the city and Opera Epiclesse, not the one by the + in the paths but the one just above that) and follow that north toward the Fortress of Meropide.
- Once there, swim west along the south edge until you hit the "bridge" by the tp
- tp to the north side of that area and swim northwest along the edge
- tp back and swim southeast, then follow the curve to the path to the east and follow that until the crystal with the exploding barrels and seahorses
It's been awhile since I've done it, but I end up with over 160, something closer to 200 I wanna say. With killing stuff along the way and collecting the sparkles, 20-25k mora as well. It's decently faster not killing stuff but I was so broke. Rough times lol
Whobeye4562026-01-07 22:36
Excellent advice. Thanks for this. I'm always building characters so the mora is in a perpetual state of feast or famine. I will end up adding this path into the rotation for my farming for sure. I just got to the point of catching up on the Archon quest(started on Mizuki banner) but it seems my plate is getting fuller with tasks.
AlexeyCrane2026-01-07 23:07
Join mora runs. The route I do, is extreme, but brings over 300 000 mora, average daily 500 000.
Fun coop activity and you get to use older characters or Speedrun.
kayrid392026-01-07 23:29
What's your route? I’m broke too :c lol
AlexeyCrane2026-01-07 23:32
It uses like 25 worlds to complete, most moruns use just 4.
You can peak into gg/morun for routes examples and people to run with.
kayrid392026-01-08 01:29
Thank you!!
kayrid392026-01-07 23:25
I feel that! I was pretty new when theater came out (I started 4.5) and I was racing to catch up building a bunch of characters so I could do the higher difficulties (or like any if geo was in the theater lmao). The only time I ever had a resource was when I didn’t have enough of another resource to spend it. I’ve slowed down now, though I'm usually working on at least a couple, finally going back to fill in the gaps from rushing, but it's not uncommon for me to hit single digits of mora. I’ve run the route I mentioned so many times, I have over 5k of the transoceanic pearls, or if i leveled them and the green up to blue, I'd have 1428. And I stopped collecting them at some point 💀
In case you don’t know (i learned the hard way), you can only collected 100 sparkles/investigate things per day, so if you’re also collecting artifact exp from those, take that into account when collecting the mora.
blastcat42026-01-08 04:35
I can confirm. I used to have a route in the Chasm that I'd regularly mine for ore. I then put together a route for underwater ore in Fountaine and it was significantly better. If you combine the underwater route with some land mining routes in Fountaine, even better.
For a while, I did the Chasm plus Fountaine and eventually I had more ore than I could ever use.

It has eggs before the shrine is repaired but it just stops respawning after you repair it. Anyone who gets distracted by shiny stuff (loot) who did the quest for the shrine probably noticed.
It's me, I get distracted by shiny loot.
OmniOnly2026-01-07 20:07
Or you just visit the shrine after you fix it up which scare off the birds or it's poetic for who it's for. I use to grab eggs on the way to the leyline.

There is a joke here to be made about Chasca being a bird or something, but I don't think I could make it not sound weird.
