Does Lunar cystalize actually do anything for established geo characters?

From what i can see Lunar cystalize is just a recolour for hydro cystalize basically just taking away the shield for a small bit of damage and it doesn't even help the old characters unless u pull for columbina even then geo characters bearly even used hydro... itto and navia would prefer pyro.... electro helps generate energy for em and cryro helps boost up cr.... nobody has any use for hydro resonaces.. so I might be on shi but can yall explain that for me or just gives your own ideas on it ?

If i recall right, the biggest winners are navia (1 shard per sec when theres a turret on field) and zhongli(all the turrets are considered constructs for his E)

Also the fact that the reaction itself deals damage vs base crystalize dealing 0

Navia does get the biggest dps boost if I remember correctly. Also, since the lunar crystalize turrets count as constructs, C0 Chiori gets a bit better. They both still struggle in comparison, but hey it's better than nothing.

Would like to add Chiori here too. Like Zhongli, the moon drift constructs are considered constructs for her to gain a bonus doll. So theoretically you could run a hydro/geo team of Columbina, Furina, Xilonen, and Chiori.

Taking away a weak shield for damage is a universally better trade off. Also, not sure why you are claiming it is a "small bit" of damage.

So yeah I might be on shi but still the only reason y we needed hydro before was cause furina was good... but even then res is still pretty nice to have and considering that tof all the phec elements hydro does the least for geo dps and sub dps y should we run it...

Its good in 2025. Navia can hit a new high with Columbina. Also, by Using Navia, columbina, and furina you can use Mavuika and xilonen for other team

Using navia as an example with her new best team: Furina, Columbina and Xilonen. You do benefit from the hydro resonance cause that increases columbina and furina damage.

Geo Resonance also got reworked to work without shields and you wouldn't even use double pyro/electro/cryo with her (idk about itto).

But at the end of the day, as the other person said, its just more damage that is locked behind columbina in this case.

The question you’re asking is flawed. Lunar Crystallize literally **can’t exist** without Columbina unless your name is Zibai (and Columbina is her best support anyways), so asking the question “does Lunar Crystallize do anything for established Geo DPS without Columbina” doesn’t make sense.

One cannot exist without the other, so the real question you should be asking is: “does **Columbina** do anything for established geo characters” and the answer is **yes**.

Also, both Itto and Navia already used Furina/Xilonen in their teams, which means that hydro has always been present in geo teams. As a Noelle player, I know that she also uses hydro in her current best team (Furina/Yelan).

And yes, part of it is because of Furina, not hydro, but again, the two are mutually linked. The concept is the same - Furina makes your team do more dmg, Lunar Crystallize (by definition Columbina) makes your team do more dmg. Being hydro has nothing to do with it.
